This puts old Jerry in a new light for me.
THanks...with the title ‘Largest States’, I thought they were including Texas...which I knew couldn’t be right.
I’m not disparaging school lunches in the slightest. However, the feds have used a cut off of school lunch money as a threat for years, for dozens or even hundreds of unrelated mandates.
Many of the worst elements of public education are based on this insidious, and incremental, effort to expand federal authority into not just the schools, but State and County government as well.
Truly, there is no such thing as a free lunch. In this case, the price is sky high, involving the loss of local control, liberty, and the quality of children’s education.
I understood what you meant. I’m glad they have lunch programs for those in need, but was a bit surprised when I heard discussions of dinner programs.
