No more Kitty toys? What are they thinking?
Organize kitchen appliance cords?
How about chip bags. There is nothing in 3/4 of the bag. I know stuff like that settles but not that much. Some of the chip companies came out with a bag that breaks down quicker. Heard the company received complaints because the bag makes too much noise when handled and they won’t be making it any more. Ugh... wear ear plugs. There are somethings we can do to be more eco friendly but a tube of tp is biodegrdable..
Just exactly what can you do with a used toilet paper tube? Why save them?
Someone with way too much time on their hands. LOL!
Beat me by two minutes.
We already lost soda can pull tabs that we can make belts and ropes out of.
Sad that this is being couched in terms of waste though. Absent the whole green agenda, it seems like a normal thing a company would do in order to cut production costs.
If Al Gore gets his way we will all get one leaf a day to wipe our asses. Nothing is safe from government intervention when it comes to these corrupt zealots.
Elementary school teachers ask students to bring them in for use in class projects... they use them, and the ones found in paper towel rolls, for all sorts of things.
Bleh, envirowimps. They need to go real hard core, how bout a washrag?
For one, I can think that the gay lobby will be against this. What else will they use to guide the gerbils in?
Who has time to put the TP on the roller anyway?
So, if the inner layers are treated to be hard enough to withstand the same use as the cardboard tube, are you willing to then use that harder “paper” on your butt? Or will you throw it away, like you now do the cardboard tube?
This whole thing is typical liberal Dr. Feelgood mentality, not running the thought out to its logical end. Cardboard is recyclable, people! Just chuck it into the recycle bin. “Problem” solved with minimal R&D costs. How many carbon credits did that earn me?
So what happens now when you get down to the last few feet of tissue?
It all just falls off?
That’s what I’m saying. There are some issues here that aren’t being addressed.
Sounds like a dumb idea to me. As for the tubes, we recycle ours. It’s really not that hard to do.
When I visited Germany in 1986, I came across toilet "paper" on one of the trains I was riding that still had chunks of wood (slivers) in it.
The paper roll is also a key part of the manufacturing process - it enables the release of the roll from the machine.
