Cheech and Chong, not the taxpayers, will be selecting California’s “leaders” this time. That’s the way Georgie Soros likes it.

Democrats want them hooked on drugs.
Then when they want them to vote a certain way, they will dangle drugs in front of them if they vote in support of them.

Pot initiative in California designed to turn out youth vote (And they will vote Democrat)

And all the YOUTH that graduated HS when I did in ‘66....they all want pot too(well not all...but plenty do).

I was there with them at Woodstock in ‘69 and there is an amazing number that still do weed. (I don't...not for me.)

Making a deal with the devil is the ultimate act of arrogance and stupidity.

Everybody knows its wrong but people still do it because they believe they’ll be the one who bests the devil. They won’t.

He is a Nazi Collaborator, for God's Sake! Nuremberg is still standing!

The polls are trending NO to pot.

This may have the reverse effect than was planned by Tsuris. AKA, Soros.

This one is over emphasized. Most of them do not want the government to get between them and their drugs. Besides, most of them can barely tell you the time of day. All they know is where they get their monthly welfare check, or where the latest party is.

Forget having to stand in line at a polling station they cannot even find, Let alone, having to get up so early to go vote.

It is a federal law and it has been stated by the feds it will still be enforced. This must me a real bummer that could make some just not try.

Not all young people do drugs.

Not all young people vote Democrat

The polls are showing this initiative is failing.

California has almost all but legalized pot already. I do not think this issue will get all that many off their butts and go to the poll (assuming they ever bothered to registered).

Yep....the whole timing of the thing is to get the pothead voters (who are nearly all Democrats/Liberals/Progressives/Socialists) so they vote for their token pothead (Jerry Brown), and while at it, vote for all the (D) candidates that they find on the ballot.

Used to be the Dem's would just hand out cash, cigarettes, free food, etc.; now they're putting deviate/criminal issues on the ballot to draw their voterbase.

There’s nothing wrong with getting high once in a while. There’s a huge difference between hippie, leftist druggies and conservatives that like a like little smoke now and then. Psilocybin is the bee’s knees though. LSD can be a bit harsh. Get high with your conservative friends sometime and have a ball, or better yet bogart some stuff from your liberal buddies and make it worth their while to get an occasional epiphany as you debate with them. When I was young i was against all drugs because I associated it with flea infested, jobless losers, but there’s a lot to be said for the joint or mushroom two or three times a year. You’d be surprised how many conservatives and FReepers enjoy getting high now and then. I’m indifferent to this measure.

As I understand it, he did his collaborating at Age 14, so I doubt that Nuremberg will look down on him as harshly.

Well, I guess that “double-tapping” is the obvious solution.

Keep your twisted logic to yourself troll, there is NEVER a good time to use elicit drugs, no matter how you sugar coat it. A medicated society is a controlled society.

You are living in an illusion, induced by your Liberalterian drug enhanced stupor. And the society you think exists is purely a figment of your drug infested hallucinations. You certainly do not belong on this forum!

Pretty clever actually. Pass something that will, overall, dumb down the voters so they’ll keep voting Democrat. George Soros’ dream come true.

Remember how the gay marriage vote backfired in California. The thought that with the heavily Democratic turnout predicted, it would be a shoe-in. They failed to consider that a number of Democratic groups (blacks, latinos) are pretty conservative when it comes to social issues.

I'm thinking this may backfire also. Look at the stats from the chart below:

Even in their target group of 18-25 year olds, 71% don't smoke marijuana at all. In the other age groups the usage percentage is so small as to be minute.

You've got to wonder if buyer's remorse will set in with these people once they hit the voting booth. In theory, it may be a great idea to leagalize marijuana. In practice, people are going to ask themselves if they want their neighbors growing it in the backyard, and if all the other predicted changes in Calif. society will be good.

And if the marijuana initiative goes down, then what legalization supporters?
