So your a single issue voter then. If the Republican candidate isn't pro life you won't vote for them, even if that means wasting your ballot on some 3rd party candidate that doesn't have a chance in hades of winning - AND making it easier for an even worse pro choice candidate to actually win the seat and go to Washington.
How is this any different than a "moderate" or RINO who won't back the conservative candidate for exactly the opposite reason?
Sorry, but politics is about compromise. Your fight is with other Republican primary voters who just don't agree with you in Illinois. When a conservative like COD wins a primary, you expect ALL Republicans (including moderates and RINO's) to rally around her as she is the rightful victor. With that in mind, you have the same obligation to support Republican nominees even when they are sometimes not politically pure enough.
You still don’t get it, do you? Do you not understand that as a Christian I cannot deliberately sin, nor can I encourage others to sin. I don’t know your faith position, but you are not getting what I am saying. To vote for Kirk would require me to change religions. That is one compromise too far. Your assault on my issue-orientation is misguided. I am all for compromise when it does not require me to surrender my eternal soul, when it promotes peace and life. A compromise with death is quite another matter.
Yep -- the Republicans had better damn well come up with candidates that are worth voting for, or I'm voting for the Libertarian (or whoever is better) instead. The Republicans will then experience the consequence of their action (failure to come up with an acceptable candidate).
