Salute to you, ASOC, for the info.
Seems the military should be an exception.
I spent two years at Hood. Brings tears to my old eyes.
The problem with this possible sentence is that:
1. a mass murderer who gunned down unarmed and unsuspecting military personnel lives.
2. the tax payers have to foot the bill to keep this mass murderer alive and well.
In this case, justice would not be served for the families of those murdered as well as for society.
Sometimes the eye is hard of hearing.
As he was shooting at fellow military personnel, during a time of War, shouldn't the bullet have been delivered within hours of the event? Treason is Treason.
It’s heartbreaking, and infuriating.
Did military facilities allow guns when Bush was president?... Absolutely.
>We are at war with Muslim jihadists.<
.
Correction: We and the rest of the West are at war with Islam, not just the jihadists.
An understatement. Hasan should face the firing squad and the chain of command that allowed that pos to remain in our Army should all be sent packing.
Our brave young American men (and women) sacrificed at the bloody altar of political correctness. Still the ‘death to America’ scum is allowed to over run our nations’ borders.
I have no problem with the rule, so long as it is followed. It does have the bad side effect of leaving you hanging out in just this kind of event.
I wonder how many suicide attackers Islam could recruit if their reward was spending the rest of their life in a Texas prison, paralyzed, instead of with 72 virgins?
Therein lies the problem.
He did no such thing!
I, otoh, want him dead as soon as possible.
Texas prison aren’t that rough and I don’t want our tax money spent on his *special* needs for however many years.
Since when?
I am aware of no change in policy...it has been against the law to carry on a military post for decades.
When the war came, their allegiance was a concern. Who would they support in a battle with their own tribe? They lived among the settlers, could slit their throats and the throats of their children at night while they slept.
The people of the area rounded up the assimilated Indians, rowed them out to an island in the dead of winter, and dropped them off with no food or provisions. Most of them died, hundreds of people.
It was brutal, and it was cold-hearted and it was the smart thing to do, if your first priority is the safety of your people. Maybe not the manner of removing them, but certainly the act of removing them. It is the same reason that the internment camps for Japanese nationals in WW2 were a justified reaction, although too heavy handed and too inclusive.
I wish we had the will to survive and to win that those people had. We would know better than to let any Muslims be among us, for of the 100 that mean us no harm, there are several dozen who do, or will when the time is right.
The exception to keeping them at the armory was if you had them out over the week-end or a holiday when the armory may not be open to store/retreive them. No open carry, no concealed carry. I don't remember the rules for overseas, either. I didn't own any firearms when I went to Korea, so I didn't check on the rules, but I'm pretty certain firearms were a no-no there (other than issued).
We are committing suicide. How do we revive a nation in such denial & laziness?
