yes, yes we are.
The law is the law.
HOWEVER those who do pay do have an unjust enrichment, clouded title, and anything else we can think of against the final holders, originators, and servicing agents.
Now it has been defense work, the next step is the tidalwave or COUNTERSUITS against the alleged plaintiffs.
This is why the lobbyists were trying to sneak an immunity law past congress. This is too hot for even them to handle.
This is a ponzie scheme that will give madoff roomates PLURAL.
I used to be a mortgage originator. I had nothing to do with the securitization process other than a vague knowledge of it.
Wanna send me to jail too?
You forgot to mention the deadbeats that didn't pay their mortgages?
Maybe everyone should be jailed? The Russian Revolution started this way.
They didn't like the free market either.
How do you see that and how do you see a solution with so much of the legal paperwork destroyed or mucked to the point where multiple parties can show claim? Wherein parties have already been caught falsifying documents? and perjuring themselves. And even when or if they can produce the required legal documents in most cases the liens and transfers were never legally recorded and are now beyond the required time to do so. I ask you do you advocate the falsifying of and then then the illegal post dating of legal records?
Tells the truth quiet well. Perhaps your understated it a bit: IMPO -- People who bought homes in 2003 or after that are going to see the same prices again. For sure. In many states, not just California, Nevada, Arizona and Florida. In Oregon, home prices may fall back to levels not seen since 2002. But realtors and mortgage shills will lie and tell you a different tale to make any deal. Even a really bad deal for the buyer is a good deal for people who earn a commission.
We don't have a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan. BofA holds our mortgage and WILL NOT refinance us. Last thing they told us is to stop paying! How crazy is that??
It does not matter if you were not aware of the full scheme and all the multiple ramifications of fraud. If you knew about fraudulent activities and did not blow the whistle -- you are a co-conspirator. Far better to blow the whistle now or even years later. By taking that action you may help put the criminal bastards behind bars.
If you were not aware and are able to sleep at night -- then rest easy. You are not going to be prosecuted.
At Ameriquest, they just did the best they could, I never saw a machine.
Or buy gold or silver.
I think it is some sucker bets going on but there is also pressure on gold, too.
” Even a really bad deal for the buyer is a good deal for people who earn a commission. “
What I love to run into are R.E. brokers and loan brokers who don’t even own their own home ;-)
I gotta wonder how such a basic snafu could happen across an entire industry. I mean, why didn't General Counsel of these companies put the kabosh to such a mad-hatter scheme from the get-go?
I was asked recently whether "capitalism" and "free market" meant the same thing. I had always assumed that they were. But with the sort of crap that's been put over on us over the past several years by the big banks and the Fed I really gotta say no. In fact, I think that "capitalism" as generally understood is quite the opposite thing as the "free market."
Not by accident.
We have been vindicated by overwhelming support of people who post on FR and hundreds of thousands of people all across the nation. May mortgage shills and Wall Street Banksters rot and blaze again and again in the fiery hell of their own creation.
That's what I think too, Bean. And GREAT (but scary-reality) post. Bump.
The name partners and state bar board of governors KNEW all this fake documents were happening.
They should have their license pulled and resignations forced.
How about the judges that ARE complicit in this? forclosures are still happening. judges are still rubber stamping fake and incomplete documents.
I purchased my home in 2004, and have been paying down the mortgage steadily. I'm not a freeloader trying to get a house for free. I've done my duty. I've paid my mortgage.
Nevertheless, what can I do to actually verify that the bank I'm paying my mortgage to actually owns the mortgage, or if it does, how do I find out who does? And what do I do if nobody can get me that information without having Skippy in the mailroom photoshop the documentation?
Maybe a legal eagle out there can answer this...I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll get to it.
Is it UCC 9 that states any amount received above and beyond the principle/interest amount stated on closing docs are to be paid back to the borrower?
Clerical errors my arse!
blech!
Here’s what scares me more than anything - that it is such a big mess that the government will step in and take over all of it.
It’s communist’s dream situation. In one fell-swoop they will BE the bank, and they will “own” any land that isn’t paid off. And maybe even the ladn that IS paid off unless the owner can prove it.
Have no fear citizen. Pay your taxes and all will be well.
