The way the left and Rinos expanded government was in little tiny bites. Do the same thing in 100 departments and you have 100 million the next budget cycle double that and cut out some other unused money and you get into their head - then you crush them.

It looks like the purpose of the NSF has been subverted. I’ve known plenty of post-docs working on NSF fellowships... 700,000 would fund several fellowships.
What a waste.
