I got a letter from David Cross the other day. Apparently he is organizing a group to mobilize against those broadcast he disagrees with. His group Friends Against Speech Crime In Society Today meets every Thursday in Bill Maher's mother's basement. Refreshments and jackboots are provided. You are expected, however, to bring your own brown shirt.

David Cross wrote and produced a conceptual comedy show called Icelandic Ultra Blue which the highly liberal Adult Swim programming block picked up. And aired once. At three in the morning. And then canceled. He may be a little bitter.

As far as reporting untruths goes, I seem to recall that Dan Rather, darling of the liberal elite, presented clearly false, forged documents to support his allegations that W’s TANG boss wanted to court martial him. Then there was the matter of a certain former CIA officer who was “outed” by “journalist” Robert Novak, but the Democrats and their allies in the press tried to pin the rap on VP Cheney and his aide Scooter Libby. The fact of the matter was that Valerie Plame, the CIA agent, no longer qualified as a covert agent and had in fact let all of her friends and neighbors know that she worked for the CIA.
