Orange County is ready to play host to hundreds of detainees suspected of being in the country illegally.

"Illegal aliens of interest"? LOL! If we could go back to "racial profiling", ICE would be allowed to ask them or do checks to find out if they're in the country illegally. We wouldn't have to just stand around with our hands in our pockets "suspecting" that they're here illegally. There are too many fools running this country.

Ever notice who “suspects” are no longer “suspects”? They are “persons of interest”. If you catch someone committing a crime, they are a “person of interest”. Therefore, these illegal aliens suspected of being in the country illegally must be illegal aliens of interest. It’s all PC crap.

Often referred to as "beds for feds," a cash-strapped Sheriff's Department struck the deal with federal officials this summer, selling their vacant bed space for $118 per detainee per day.

The deal stands to generate $30 million in revenue for the Sheriff's Department. Officials there say the money helped save jobs at the department.

If ICE turns over a bunch of illegal aliens to the sheriff's office to be detained, isn't it a little stupid to say that they are "suspected" of being in the country illegally? If they are not in the country illegally, I can see some big lawsuits coming for detaining legal Hispanic Americans.

Not until they've had a hearing. Mistakes have been made before, and ya don't want to deport anyone here legally.

Most ICE detainees are those suspected of being in the country illegally who also have some sort of criminal record – from misdemeanor driving under the influence and petty theft to felony aggravated assault and homicide.

Other detainees do not have criminal records and instead are being held because they are suspected of being in the country illegally, avoided a past deportation order, or returned after a prior deportation.

The detainees are held for a variety of reasons and are awaiting deportation, hearings, asylum, appeals, or travel documents.

By the way, everyone is a suspect until proven guilty, or it's determined an individual is in fact in the country illegally and guilty of being an illegal alien.
