Ike might be the last conservative democrat standing.

What a poor argument, there isn’t any guarantee that who ever gets elected is going to serve on the House Armed Services Committee.

Zero, Zip, Nadda

And they can always decline and serve on another committee.

Mennonites are good with me.

New novel out Mennonite in a Little Black Dress—very nice read.

We don't care if you are a member of the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster, if you cut taxes, reduce the size of government, balance the budget (try PASSING ONE first), repeal 0bamacare, and throw Charlie Rangel, Maxine Waters, and Barney Frank out of office, and in to JAIL... You got our vote.

May you be touched by His Noodly Appendage.

Ike might be the last conservative democrat standing.

Ike is as conservative as old bull Clinton. Ike is who the liberals selected to lead the House of Representatives in defense of old bull Clinton on impeachment day...

I doubt she really is a conservative. What conservative would be running as a democrat these days?

Are there any Mennonites currently serving in Congress? If victorious, Hartzler would bring some religious diversity to the House. At the same time, Skelton is one of the better members of his party.

Is it not the least bit strange that name of the opponent is NOT in the title of hit piece for a so called old bull liberal Representative....

Location location location.... Vicki Hartlzer is a conservative and just very curious how media is attempting to smear her over a very liberal notion ‘pacifist’ ideology....

She (Vicki Hartzler) is a Republican, Skelton is the Democrat.

Sounds like Skelton is running scared of conservative Vicky Hartzler. Don’t fall for this “Skelton is a moderate” lie. He is a Pelosi Democrat.

She (Vicki Hartzler) is a Republican, Skelton is the Democrat.

And she is very much a conservative, and there is nothing conservative about old bull Skelton... He is my former congressman.... when the the brown bags of RED Chinese dollars for campaigns was exposed during the Clintons rip and roar cycle, I called his local office and asked how much money did his reelection campaign get from the RED Chinese..... all I got was a gasp on the phone..

OLD man IKE is NOT a conservative even though he tries to play one in his very very rural district.... These are the 'religious' Clinton voters, born bred democrat first, Christian Billy Graham voters next....

Well, if you were them, would you have wanted Ike or some retard like Pelosi defending him?

Hartzler is running as a Republican. Because the congregation has roots in the Mennonite community, it supports a choice of pacifism. It's clear that this congregation has moved towards accepting military service over the years, and that Hartzler supports the military.

Religion has always been part of the American political process. In many parts of the U.S., there may be an unofficial Catholic judge, Protestant judge, Jewish judge, etc. Exactly how many U.S. Presidents have been Catholic?

Romney will never win because he is a Mormon Socialist. Huckabee's chances are poor because he is an Evangelical Socialist, but are better than Romney's. About 40-50% of Mennonites generally vote Republican because of social issues, and because Republicans may be considered better stewards.

Oh, old bull Ike did not defend on the cheap, he got some military vessel named in his honor for leading the defense for old bull Clinton...

Nanny RED Pelosi was not even on the nation's radar when the impeachment took place. But do not be deceived by the claim that old bull Skelton is a conservative.... He just represents Ft. Leonard Wood, a very large military base and their presence brings in a whole lot of bacon for surrounding locals... even liberals know how to use the military for nonmilitary purposes...

Not now, to the best of my knowledge. Have been, from Indiana and Pennsylvania. Rural and small town Mennonites tend to be conservative on all but military issues. And Hartzler married into the church.

Mark Souder is Apostolic Christian in an Indiana district with lots of Amish and Mennonites. Put it this way: Missouri Synod Lutheran is considered the "liberal" church in his district.

Souder resigned back in May due to an affair.

Only yesterday I commented on your thread that Ike would "pull out all the stops." He will. He is a knife fighter. He's stood for re-election every two years. Skilled. Cunning. Resourceful. $$$.

Vicky Harztler is a nice person. She would make an excellent Congresswoman. But does she have what it takes to defeat this guy?
