They didn’t make me cry. The point here is the kid can cry but all you sentimental guys should be pumping your fists in the air going yeah! But cry if you want to.
Those kids that saw their parents go out the door and died from a car wreck, as you put it, probably didn’t imagine that could be an imminent circumstance. Believe me, if a Mom or Dad deploys to the battlefield, the kids definitely know the distinct threat to the family, and are immensely relieved when that parent returns. Your example is not the same, even though the wreck is tragic to the child. Now, I would guess a lot of the people that shed tears know of or can relate to the relief of the parents return. There are many towns and cities that have buried quite a few of their fellow citizens in this decade of war. Some communities way more than others.
And I didn’t say I shed tears, although it is a great story.
