The Fox headline should specify THREE YEARS after the Ramsay show.
I have seen that show, although don’t know if I saw this guy - it’s like not being able to look away from a car wreck...

An Italian restaurant owner - in debt - in New Jersey
did he jump or was he pushed?
To: doodad
One of his Brit chefs. Whether it was suicide was not determined in the article I read dated 2007.

I’m sorry to say, that maybe you have hit on the real truth. Doubt very much, that someone would jump from debt....That solves nothing...
RAmsay himself is said to be deeply in debt...

How does Ramsay, with numerous TeeVee shows, end up in debt? Does he live too large or is it from his restaurants?

I believe his debt comes from a couple restaurants that weren’t very successful.

My question is why on earth does a Brit have a show criticizing others on cooking?

Only for tax purposes.

Owning a Restaurant is hard work and a HUGH personal risk, money wise. I got to know many owners when I used to hang my suit coat on the numerous Lounge Bar Stools. (I was such a 'regular' at places I even knew the Bartender's Birthdays)(/s)
But in the Chi metro area the owners don't off themselves when things go rotten (pun intended). 'Typically' their problem is *solved* by a Kitchen Fire that starts in a grease duct at 2:00 am.
It's called, 'Greek Lightening'.
Yes, a good portion of the better restaurant/lounges are owned by Greeks in the Chi Metro area.

Ramsey suffered from economic downturn as all did. His upscale restaurants lost $$ when everyone tightened their belts. Not sure how he is doing now...
He admitted this during an interview.
