I hit abuse after I saw post #2 with the “we just can’t afford” it garbage.

Sounds good to me. Will we have the ability to nuke from outer space? Someone told me that it’s the only way to be really sure. :)

Yep, we need SDI-style laser-guided zot technology. Jim should roll it out on June 6, 2011 in honor of the 100th anniversary of President Reagan’s birth.

:-D

Maybe a glitch that he still has a life. (Oh gosh, remember Rush’s “caller abortions!” LOL!) Some posters have noticed a time discrepancy throughout FR, so maybe things are just a little wonky.

But regardless, isn’t it ironic that he still “lives” on FR, at the same time that he advocates ending the real lives of the medically fragile?

Actually, this may be a better solution. He’s still here and aware. We should pull the plug on his ability to post. That would be a savings of the precious resource of bandwidth that contributors pay for, and he won’t feel any pain.

After a couple of weeks, he can be quietly zotted, and therefore “die with dignity” on FR. And life worth living will go on.

(Hat tip to Rush Limbaugh.)

It appears that he was euthanized. Although I can’t really speak to whether or not a zot is painless, I doubt it produces the “beauty” and “euphoria” that the culture of death claim is experienced by those being dehydrated and starved to death.

Oh, too bad! I thought my idea was more “socially just.”

I trained as a hospice volunteer some years ago (this hospice is not into killing people) but the training took 3 months at least, I think I had to go once or twice a week, and most all of it was legal claptrap. Then I couldn’t even bring my guitar to play to people (which generally they love) because, get this:

I did not have a degree in Music Thanatology. I even think it requires an M.A. after a regular 4 year degree! It’s making music in minor keys, with chords, and no actual words, only eerie vocalizations. Crazy! I was ready to offer to go play to any hospice patient anywhere in the county, a few times a week. No go. Too much freaking red tape!

In the past I used to go to nursing homes and play, and so many elderly loved it. I had an old lady with tears in her eyes tell me she hadn’t heard such beautiful music since her Momma and Uncle used to play in the kitchen when she was a girl! I’ve had old people hug me with tears in their eyes. But since now I don’t have a degree in “Eerie Scary Music” I can’t play to hospice patients!

I’m shocked. It appears that hospices have different requirements than hospitals. That’s really a shame.

Trolley backwards...

If it’s the same guy as zort and other names, I think one of his names was a previous name backwards.
