You know, if I worked on a campaign, and we lost big, and two years later the candidate won or made a big splash, I wouldn’t trash her. Even if I thought she was personally objectionable, I would not trash her for the general.

The reason is simple: who wants to hire someone who will turn on you when the campaign is over? Rove might think he’s a big enough name that he has the luxury of doing it, though it certainly doesn’t help the brand name. Maybe these peons she hired in 2008 have moved on to be realtors and cashiers at the mall, and don’t care. Professionals do not dish dirt on their former employers.

"Former" aides be d*mned.

O'Donnell is running against another self-professed "Marxist" for heaven's sake. There's nothing nuttier, dishonest or more destructive than Marxists.

My only concern, where she vote like a conservative and stand for the Constitution? The answer is yes. Everything else the MSM says is just static.

How in the world did Christine win without her former staffers?

Very interesting!

For ever story like this, people should send in another $5.....

I disagree! We should send $25 - $50. I've already sent $50. Will send another $50 tonight! I want to see her win and watch the liberal media and the GOP establishment eat lots of crow!

I thought the media was biased when it was McCain and Obama. This is getting a bit ridiculous.

Seems eerily familiar to what happened to Sarah Palin, eh?

Basically the same enemies that didn't learn from the last time.

The woman-hatred is entrenched in both of the Washington-based political parties. Let’s get rid of them at the ballot box.

Well done. I’d be surprised if that is not an O’Donnell commercial by tomorrow morning!

The suntan lotion strategy wasn’t the only thing that captured O’Donnell’s attention that summer. Several former aides said that as the Republican National Convention approached, O’Donnell became convinced she could land the coveted role as keynote speaker — the speech was ultimately delivered by former New York City mayor and presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani — and booked an expensive trip to St. Paul on that premise.”

Oh yeah, she travels to the Republican Convention which is described as an “expensive trip” (what’s she supposed to do walk???) and it’s because we’re supposed to believe she thinks she’s going to deliver the keynote address.

The article is dripping nastiness. This is the exact same type cr@p they tried with Palin. Politico is a freaking joke.

BTW, Christine’s at 1.5mill. I wonder if Politico still thinks she should be hitch hiking.

Hey, look, the LAMESTREAM MEDIA is attacking another conservative. How original.

Funny how the LAMESTREAM MEDIA can never find anyone who worked with Obama and thinks he is an asshole.

You know what... this cracks me up. Here’s why.

I helped out a candidate for the House before the Primaries. There were a lot of conversations involved in that process. I can say with some certainty that I was trusted by this candidate and occasionally things got said that if made public would have been easily possible to use against him.

All he was doing really was venting, and doing everything he could to come up with ideas which would help him get his message out. I would NEVER repeat anything he said under these circumstances. Why? Because of the issue of TRUST.

Candidates who DO NOT have the support of the “establishment” do not get the benefit of SOLID political advise and or assistance with message or anything else. Did I give good advise, sure I did. Was it always right(?), most likely not. For certain, they do not get the benefit of money, or numerous campaign advisers they can sincerely trust. WHY? Because those advisers have their OWN agendas.

Now all this crap coming from aides, that’s nothing short of treachery. Its disloyal, dishonest, its reprehensible. Candidates - particularly ones with out a lot of money or REAL PROFESSIONALS with ETHICS on their staff are vulnerable. What this Aid does not mention is ... who came up with what idea? Where did that conversation start from? Was it the aid themselves, or some other aid?

This sort of backstabbing SHOULD reflect utterly poorly on the staffers making the accusations. They should be utterly un-hire-able with in politics, because they cannot be TRUSTED.

This should reflect more on the STAFFERS than on Christine. Their very stories and accusations call into question THEIR honesty, ethics, and professionalism in an exceptionally unflattering manner.

It sounds like to me that she has used bad judgment as well. I think that she should answer to everything straight up. That said, I don’t trust the MSM version of events and I would vote for her if I lived in DE. But I think if she’s going to win, there are allegations about her that need to be resolved. I also think that the National Republican Party should pull out all the stops to help her win. This is a critical seat.

Well, if she really is as irresponsible and crazy as these former staffers make her sound, she better have a great handler.

Or maybe the accusations are just more lies.

More of the whisper campaign against her manufactured by the NRC clown posse.

These are utterly stupid tactics by the GOP Establishment.

If she loses, EVERYONE on our side is going to point at Rove and the GOP establishment as why.

If she wins, everyone is going to remember that they did their best to sabotage her.

The GOP Establishment mouthpieces face either ostracism from the Conservative movement as traitors or ostracism from the Conservative movement as irrelevant, non-credible cretins. So either way the Roveites are creating a lose-lose position for themselves.

There’s a reason Coons has taken the high road so far with O’Donnell, and it’s not just because bitter establishment Repubs are doing the dirty work for him. The media is painting O’Donnell as such a psycho it doesn’t compute when people meet her or see her respond to questions for the first time. She’s fairly media savvy and comes off pretty well. I’d argue she handles herself more effectively that Palin when it comes to contentious interviews. Even DUers are admitting this. Delaware is a small state and candidates have more of a chance to work their personal charm. If all the antipathy strikes voters as overblown/unfair while simultaneously turning her opponents own brand into an afterthought, it can perversely work to O’Donnell’s advantage. I’m actually a little disappointed that Coons is smart enough to see this and not come blairing out of the gate with personal attacks.

Politico is a leftist site. So these upstanding people just volunteered dirt? If they are Republican operatives they were told to dump on O'Donnell.

Ex-aide: O'Donnell a 'complete fraud'

“Kristin Murray was fired by Tom Ross, Delaware GOP chairman, in June 2008 for being incompetent. She was then picked up by my campaign, [and] was paid and fired after 2 weeks of ‘work’,” O'Donnell wrote in a statement to POLITICO.

WHAT A SECOND:

I don’t find it crazy at all to consider a marketing strategy like using the mini tubes of sunscreen and a slogan ‘Don’t get burned by higher taxes’...what in the ‘H’ is wrong with that?

Whoever that former aide is, is a jerk, it may not be the most original gimmick or the most clever but it is HARMLESS. And the crack about wondering if Biden was tapping her phone...So what??! WE ALL have pondered such things in this day of the dirtiest of politics.

This poor woman is getting the Palin treatment to the 10th power.

I despise the LYING, oozing, vile, left more tha I say even communicate.

They are empty shells of delusion and power lust, stand for NOTHING, hideous. They are lower than bacteria.

Yes, her opponent needs his background investigated as well. I understand he’s quite a Marxist.
