"...it could come down to lying or losing. I chose lying." John McCain - 2008 Campaign |
Sen. McCain is in George Soros’s back pocket.
McCain is no conservative.
Stabbing his state in the back yet again. Too bad. They’re stuck with him now.
Arizonans messed up, should have voted to Hayworth.
I know this may sound radical. But the tea party should run an add in Arizona telling conservatives not to vote for McCain(And not for the democrat either). It will make the tea party people seem like hero’s at some point in the future.
Was his primary win rigged? Did the people of AZ really put this ... (can’t say it) back in the position of going to the senate?
If it was an honest election/choice, the people of AZ should hang their heads in shame. For those of you that voted correctly, you should grab a voter you know that voted for this maniac and throttle them.
McCain is a commie ‘RAT. He kissed Obama’s ass during his presidential run and absolutely slaughtered J.D. Hayworth during the Republican primary. That 20 million bucks he spent was hard for any Republican to go up against. The bass turd. The only reason he’s a “republican” is because DemocRATS have a hard time getting elected in this state unless they have the entire student body of one of our so-called universities stuffing the ballot boxes for them.
The quisling bastard won because Arizona has an open primary. If AZ primaries were restricted to the respective parties, Juan would not have prevailed. Juan is a Rat, and the Rats will play him like a fiddle just so they can trot out the cover of “bipartisanship.”
I’m not going to make any friends with these observations. First off, he never said he was voting for it. He said there was no way it was passing the Senate as it was. McCain said he appreciated their position. Their position being young people in school studying for a career here. McCain made it clear that as the Dream Act was written, it was not passing. McCain also made it VERY clear that the first concern was securing the border. Until that was done, nothing was passing. McCain knows that border is not getting secure anytime soon.
I really, really wanted to see John McCain lose the primary. I’ve had more than my fill of him, and think he’s done more damage to the party than just about any other Republican senator.
But his answers here weren’t so outrageous. He emphasized that the number one priority is controlling the border (I don’t vouch for his sincerity on that, but at least he mouthed the words.) This problem has been created by the unwillingness to enforce the border for over three decades, and now there is no easy solution. It’s a travesty that it’s progressed to this point, and you can see a little piece of the human cost of that come through in this video.
What should he say to those people? That they just don’t matter? What do you do with a kid that came over with their parents at a young age and grew up here? Hey kid, ya gotta go, sorry, them’s the breaks?
If we control the border and stop the influx, then the problem can be dealt with in as reasonable, just, and compassionate way as possible, that doesn’t open up the voter rolls to ten million illegals. I don’t know if that’s a guestworker program or what, but if the stream is stopped then at least some of the urgency goes away, and maybe a more rational, long-term solution can be found. (As they say, we need an immigration policy with high fences and broad gates...)
So, as much as I’m tired of McCain, I don’t think his answers to those questions in that venue were really so bad, and he certainly didn’t commit to anything...
GracieB has it right
Please tell me he’s not that stupid...
Castle’s out...McCain wants the job as Dingy Harry’s #1 moderate back.
"John McCain has been so clear with
his policy and it makes a lot of sense too.
We secure our borders first. But then with
a comprehensive approach we must deal
humanely with those who are here..."
