If the NRSC will not support winners of primaries impartially they cannot be trusted and money to support them will dry up fast. Christine OD won without their support and she will win the general the same way. This announcement was spiteful and punitive and will hurt the NRSC while invigorating Republicans and conservatives who have had it with RINOS being forced on them. If Rove and company want the Delaware senate seat, then they can get off their asses and work to make it happen. Show us they are worth listening to. Christine will learn the ropes just as all freshmen senators have and she can be counted on to vote conservative, unlike the iffiness of Castle and other RINOS just like him. Our family supports individuals and has not contributed to the GOP party since George Bush last ran. O'Donnell will certainly get a check from us.

A wise thought I read on another blog...
***
OK, Mr Silver Linings here... but something occurs to me.. This NRSC decision might be a positive.

First off, they deny O’Donnell the money, so the money goes elsewhere. That more money elsewhere is a good thing for elsewhere, so bully for them.

Then in Delaware.... well, O’Donnell is the outsiders outsider. This NRSC decision means she is all in, on being “out”. There is simply no question that she is 100% NON-establishment. That is probably the only real thing that will put her over the top in November, and this NRSC decision has now magnified it. She just needs to get some money from the grass roots, and come on.... it’s Delaware.

I don’t think this is all by plan, I think the NRSC is just running true to form. But I wonder if it could play out to her advantage, even inadvertantly.

You want an outsider, or you want biz as usual? They don’t come more outside than Christine O’Donnell, even the GOP establishment will tell you that...so..... the choice is yours and clear.

Might just work.

The GOP establishment kinda reminds me of the Scots nobles in the movie Braveheart; generally only after their own interests and not of their constituents.

The question is, who will support the NRSC?

No surprise, just like I will not support the RINO-loving, aisle-crossing NRSC.

I will wait for Cornyn to confirm this.
He hasn’t said it yet.

Lets all be mature about it.

Look for Christines web site and donate.

Then, when the RNC asks for money, send a note that you donated to Christines campaign and send the normal amount less her donation. Let them know.

For those of us who sent checks for two cents for John McCain, we know the satisfaction of returning an insult. Telling a Democrat who runs as a Republic to go “F” himself is priceless.

More proof of how the want for conservatism is just a thinly vielded tag line to the joke of a campaign for the RNC and elite, establishment GOPers.

Screw them and screw the RNC and GOP.

This reminds me of California’s refusal to defend Proposition 8 in court, in a way. The people speak, and their representatives say “SCREW YOU, WE’RE DOING WHAT WE WANT, NOT WHAT YOU WANT.”

Someone suggested sending back tea bags in response to GOP funding requests. I would NOT recommend filling an envelope with anything that could be labeled a “possibly harmful substance,” but I do recommend maybe sending a coupon for tea, along with a note explaining that you have contributed directly to the tea party candidates of your choice.

The tea party has invariably pulled the veil off the monster that didn't want to be seen. Basically the GOP is full of democrats at the “establishment level”. They are now in full hissy fit at the thought of losing their power and the accompanying perks.

They have, in fact, just revealed their true selves, true contempt for the folks they have been courting for cash for years, and, exactly why we have Barry O in office right now.

We can survive the enemy without - it is the enemy within that has brought us to this point. I remember watching McCain and thinking “is he THROWING this election??” because of the utterly stupid things he did. I think he actually made a awesome “mistake” with choosing Sarah Palin. I think that's why they turned on her within his ranks. They thought they had a controllable party mannequin - and thank God they found out different.

The establishment GOP RINOs simply must be washed out of the party. They are killing this nation. They need to go on over to the side they are already on. This Delaware election has put the daylight on the vampire.

Ok, I admit that I don’t know much about Christine O’Donnell. What is it that makes the Republican establishment so concerned about her honesty and character?

My eyes are being opened more and more to the enemy that we are fighting - its the RINO’s. No more of my money going to any Republican fund raisers. I’ll send checks to individual conservative candidates.

Lets see O’Donnell was fine in 2008 candidacy for a Senate Run...NOW she is worthy of precous RNC (republican donor) money. WELL GUESS WHAT RNC, YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF rEPUB DONOR MONEY EITHER. Direct donations to Candidates is the ONLY anwser.

I know I’m going to get flamed, but here goes anyway. I spend a great deal of time at Free Republic, even though some folks who post here give me a very hard time.

I loved/love President Bush, for example, despite the hard time he got from nearly everyone here.

Someone needs to explain to me the following difference. When those on this site go to great lengths to point out that RINOs like John McCain are very, very far to their left, that seems to meet with lots of applause.

When the McCains and Murkowskis and Roves of the world point out that the the Tea Party and Freepers of the world are very far to their right, they get scorn and ridicule.

I truly don’t understand the difference.

What the NRSC is doing here is despicable. What Crist has done in FL is desipicable. What Murkowski is contemplating in AL is despicable. I get all that.

But I want to point out that there is little difference between folks here pointing out that much of the party is to their left Versus those who you are singling out pointing to the fact that you all are well to their right.

There are a lot of folks out there, myself included, who have strong principles and yet hold views that sometimes fall in one camp, sometimes fall in the other, and most often fall inbetween. As a simple empirical matter, I have for a decade or more always found myself cheering on the more conservative candidate. Always. So while I fail a litmus test or two or three ... I seem inclined a very specific way.

Having said this, I hate the finger pointing and the divisions. I think the Tea Partiers and Freepers have better manners. I think the TPs and Freepers are more principled, more often play by the rules (e.g., if you lose the primary, for goodness sake, go home!), etc.

But that doesn’t mean that I don’t think that there is huge ground for improvement and more tolerance of opposing views. The NRSC is flat out wrong. But two wrongs do not make a right.
