It appears that Obama needs a new Emmanuel Goldstein for his Two Minutes Hate (see 1984) rallies. The polls are telling him that George Bush isn't working anymore as a scapegoat and object of hatred around which to rally his followers, so the natural choice is the likely next Republican House speaker. Polls say that the average American don't know who Boehner is at this point, but maybe Obama is trying to define him before he is known.
