It isn’t about the stinkin’ Q(hic)rhan. It’s about power and weakness. The pastor, probably at the behest of the PTB, has shown weakness. I will not be surprised if the “iman” refuses to have anything further to do with him.

The pastor has proven nothing, and the moose limbs have won another one.

JoeProBono has more guts.

DOes he have a wife and children? If so, no doubt they were threatened with rape and beheadings, the standard response to any slight by the ROP. Why would anybody put their family through that for exercising their freedom of speech, when the highest officials in government have not only NOT promised to defend your rights, as they are constitutionally required to do, but have actively attacked you and called you a troop-killer if you do it?

Florida pastor Terry Jones said Saturday that he would never carry out plans to burn copies of the Quran, according to NBC.

Chicken shit.

I don't endorse this Pastor, nor burning of the Koran for inflammatory reasons, but I am scared to death at what has just happened in this country.

We have basically just told the Muslim world that they could intimidate us.

I so wish that it wasn't this lunatic that brought this fact to light. It wouldn't look like anyone that agreed with him was a bigot.

I do not want islamofascists running my life.

My Constitution does not say you have a right to free speech, as long as it doesn't insult someone else!

"Why are we expected to tiptoe around Islam?"

Because we live in an age of unreason, where cowardice is called courage.

Whatever happened, his about-face in exchange for nothing relegates him to the dustbin of history.

He’s living proof that one doesn’t have to believe in God to start a church.

Why are we expected to tiptoe around Islam?

Because the powers that be understand the real, true, destructive power of Islam and Sharia law and it scares them to death.

Probably pictures of him with little boys somewhere.

Being an attention whore does seem to have a downside...

"We have basically just told the Muslim world that they could intimidate us."

That's about it. As far as Terry Jones is concerned he got his fifteen minutes of fame and kicked up a hornets nest in the process.

Jones told the network that his goal was to “expose” that there is “very dangerous and very radical” element to Islam, and claimed, “we have definitely accomplished that mission.”

Based on his very obvious reversal of direction, one can't help but wonder if that "exposure" was not in the form of a direct threat by muslims (I refuse to capitalize that scumname) against his life or the lives of his family...

It seems Islam has “special rights” over Christianity and Judaism.

I hope and pray now that the U.S. Government has found compassion for religion that we won’t fund Crucifixes in Urine or Mother Mary made out of cow dung. Because we
are supposed to show tolerance for religion.

Maybe since it was funded by the government, that is what makes it OK.

Obviously, Islam is not a Peaceful Religion.

Oh good grief...talk about your overblown sense of self importance.

The 2 attacks on the WTC, the bombing of the USS Cole, the Khobar Towers bombing, the Muslim Psychiatrist killing soldiers at Ft. Hood, The Irving father that killed his 2 daughters, Robert Kennedy, etc., etc., etc., and you think your little publicity stunt helped "expose" radical Islam?

Get over yourself.
