Michelle Bachmann stepped up and ran for office. She has been a great knife fighter in the pit and someone I respect a lot for her political instincts. She will vote for John Boehner for Speaker of the House because she has seen his leadership and knows he will be a good Speaker.

I have my problems with Boehner, but his leadership ability and his keeping the GOP in line these last three years have been remarkable. He will be a Gingrich, not a Hastert.

The left (AP) is California dreaming. No one can predict who will come out on top after November. Old guard many not fare that well even within the Republican ranks.

I’m not saying he is a RINO or not a good conservative... I just don’t think he has the vision thing or is a great communicator. Oh well, maybe we can get that in a presidential candidate... but I’m not that inspired when I survey the contenders.

It’s not enough to win or defeat Obama. Dubya could do that. We need someone who can articulate what conservatism is and move an agenda.

The main objection is that they know his name. If you know the name of a politician, he obviously is part of the problem. That means he has “been around too long”, “hasn’t done what the people want”, and “is just there because it is his turn”.
