I don't hate cops. I hate bad cops the same way I hate bad doctors, bad drivers and bad gunsmiths and for the same reason: they endanger human life. There was a time when most people supported the police. Fewer people every day do so and it is the attitude like yours that the cop is always right and us serfs perps better do what they say that makes us this way.

Once, many years ago, I was encouraged by a real police office, not one like you or that sad sack in the article, to pursue a career in LE. I am glad I didn't. Given the disgraces that most police forces are these days, so is he.

That is what he was supposed to be doing. What he was doing was harrassing an honest citizen whose only crime was to film him doing whatever it is he was doing.
