Some "tea party" activists say the event, at which former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is also scheduled to speak, will have a greater impact than last September's "9/12" march along Pennsylvania Avenue. Though the attendance figures for that anti-tax rally are disputed, it was the first national gathering to demonstrate the size and influence of the tea party movement.

Lame Stream Media attempt to trivialize and minimize both Beck's 8/28 rally and the 9/12 rally last year, which was HUGE!!

The WaPo headline, as are many headlines these days, is only an opinion and not accurate. It’s evident from this article that neither Amy Gardner nor the headline writer know what the tea-party movement is. Or if they do, then they are lying.

How folks are going to vote this year and in the future cannot be measured by whether just a few or many, many people attend a rally such as Beck’s or any rally at all.

It always amazes me that some think we can totally abandon core conservative principles and still succeed.

Conservatives have actual values HOWEVER, way too often, just one issue will kill support.

If you can't get it right on the sanctity of life and marriage, you have no business being in politics or any other position of leadership, and you will not get my support. Period.

These are foundational, bedrock issues not open for debate or discussion. I don't care if someone shares 99% of my beliefs. If they get it wrong on the sanctity of life and marriage, they must be opposed.

So your myopic approach is to withhold your support for someone who has done more that the GOP has done for years because of one issue.

With such friends we do not need enemies.

I am pro life, pro-traditional marriage (with admittedly many gay friends) and I have no problem with Glenn occasionally on the “wrong” side of an issue given the bright spot light he has shown on the filth of this current administration and his attacks on the previous administration when it behaved like progressives.

On balance Glenn is much better in our camp then working for the communist Marxists on the left.

If they get it wrong on the sanctity of life and marriage, its not being “myopic” to refuse to support them. Its just common sense.
