Michigan does not have a grand jury system. A one man grand jury is a circuit judge, which is similar to superior court judges in other states. It is a powerful investigative tool in which testimony can be compelled and the judge issues his own search warrants and other similar investigative actions. Pretty effective. Does not occur very often.

Much obliged. Thank you very much for your clarification.

BTW, for absolutely no reason, I would like to tell you that I had considered incorporating something like “421A” into my screen name. Clearly, I’ve chewed through the restraints again and found a keyboard...

Michigan is fast becoming the democrat’s little Bighorn.

I gather that participation in election fraud is an “Equal Opportunity”?

It would seem that the answer is a resounding, "Yes". For example, the have been allegations of so-called "Tea Party" mischief in several other states.

Of note, the venerable National Review (ok, NR, you guys rock, too) recently outlined this story in Nevada here "Progressive Lessons and the TEA party takeover"

At this time, Alaska does not seem to be involved in the "Fake TeaParty Dome scandal" Or, something like that.

Oh, wait, Mr/Ms equivocator, I'm so sorry, by "Equal Opportunity" did you mean Republicans? Dunno.

Well, there certainly are Progressives aplenty in both parties. I remain quite confident that there's plenty of hijinks happening all around the country. Something for everyone, if you will.

Oh! Horrors! I am so sorry, your screen name is “equaviator,” not equivocator. The fault is entirely due to an over active vocabulary and an underactive ability to refrain from snarking ...

Well, I hope this "feeling happy" thing is not a complete waste of time.

Gotta go...
