LOL. I had no idea. “Looks”! Now *that* is Kool.
LOL. Thanks, andy58-in-nh!!
LOL. When I smoked, it was Kools!
I have no idea if he was baptized or not. My points stand rather he was or wasn't.
If Republicans played by liberal rules, they'd just call Obama a racist, who leaked Valerie Plame's name to the press, is not Sasha's father, and smokes Newports, not Kools.
Ann's latest column!
Let me know if you'd like to be added to the Ann Coulter ping list.
e-mail from Ann: (of course, they know Im not changing my mind on gay marriage even though I like gays.)As I posted on several of the "homocon" threads:
This is at the heart of the problem, that Ann truly LIKES many gay people -- and THEY really like her. Many social conservatives seem to fear that Ann's close association with gay people on such a PERSONAL level will eventually effect her on a POLITICAL level...
...and they are concerned that Ann will have a "Ted Olson"-like conversion to the Dark Side.TED OLSON, as you may recall, is the widower of Ann's very good friend BARBARA OLSON -- who died on 9/11 in the hijacked plane that hit the Pentagon.
But recently, the previously conservative Ted Olson led the legal battle to get California's Proposition 8 (which defined marriage as only being between "one man and one woman") overturned in the courts...ANN, however, has shown NO similar signs of "going wobbly" on us -- beyond the fact that she has many gay friends and admirers....and he seems to have been influenced to support gay marriage by his new lefty wife.
...Ann truly LIKES many gay people -- and THEY really like her..Here's a (somewhat garbled) account of what Ann said a few months ago -- at a "question and answer" session after her speech at UCLA:
...Ann Coulter likes gay people. She has lots of gay friends!Having heard Ann speak in this kind of forum in the past, I'm sure that HER actual words and delivery were MUCH BETTER than this left-leaning graduate student's paraphrasing would indicate....So many gays support her that if you went to West Hollywood and said you didn't like her, all the hair stylists would refuse to cut your hair.
But she doesn't want them to marry.
They don't want to marry, they told her themselves. They just support gay marriage because it's a nice symbol of public acceptance.
Isn't that the whole point of being gay anyway, that you don't have to marry?
She's not anti-gay, she's just pro-family.
She also opposes single mothers. Did you know that such and such criminal was raised by a single mother?
Who knows what weird stuff will happen to children raised by gay couples?
...but I think that her position on gay marriage comes through CRYSTAL CLEAR.
add me! Thanks
As Mark Steyn said so much more eloquently than I ever could, you may not always agree with Ann's emotion-inducing TACTICS... ...but it's hard to argue with the RESULTS that she gets for our side. You are absolutely right to quote Steyn on this.
I was a little angry at Ann for awhile at what I perceived to be her over-reaction to the whole WND thing... but I'm over that and wow, with this article posted here on this thread, wow, all I can say is she is so good. So, so good at what she does.

So, so good at what she does.
Ann is the MASTER at "provoking an emotional response" -- to force people to examine the core beliefs...
...and she's having a LOT of fun tweaking the "PC police" on BOTH sides of this issue. The NEXT time that you get angry at Ann, read a few her OLDER columns at random, to remind yourself of what a treasure she is -- here:

I swear, when I first read your comment, I thought you had written ...
"...WAY "above his gay parade."
Then, when I re-read it and recognized my mistake, I thought, "Well, what's the difference?"
You're on!
:o)
