Remember it’s Politico. I’d like to hear Cantor speak directly. Also, every Republican in the House can be subject to a primary opponent every two years.

Take a deep breath; the first order of business is to sweep out the fascist democrats. The Republicans may be stupid, but the Dems are evil.

And here, you thought the stupid party couldn't figure out a way to screw up the Nov. elections.

Politico doesn't even quote the full Cantor sentence, just the one word "merit".

I'm sorry, Politico is a hack organization and it's stupid to base any opinion on such nonsense.

“The dirty little secret the RINO’s have yet to learn is we’re going to come down on their asses just like the dems if they charge in there trying to screw things up again...”

It would seem that the Election of 2006 results would have been message enough. The RINO and Bush’s Compassionate Conservative beliefs absolutely infuriate me.

Yeah? And YOU didn't even read the article.

Cantor also signaled that earmarks may come back, after a one-year hiatus in which House Republicans set a moratorium on all earmark requests. But should the spending items reappear, they’ll be based on “merit, not muscle,” he said. “If there are earmarks, there will be an earmark process that will ensure we’re doing everything we can to show the people that their dollars are not being wasted on monuments to me, on waste and pork,” Cantor said.

And in any case, the idiot is talking to POLITICO a left wing mouthpiece.

WTF is he doing giving them fodder to work with?

I called his office too. So what. The little girls there are pretty much no different than receptionists at a mental health facility.

Look nice, move slow, don't upset the patients.

They offer to put you into voicemail oblivion.

Whooptee fn doo.

They don't care. It's just a job. They would work for Steny Hoyer if the pay was better.

I'll bet you live to revel in GOP stupidity.

If the Republicans sweep in November, you and your kind, along with the RATS will be placed on suicide watch.

Bachmann in the House .. DeMint in the Senate .. or Bust!

It’ll give Boehner more time to puff cigs with the Dems.. and Mitch some time to collect his thoughts for his memoir.. “Remember Me?”

my “kind?”

Who the hell are you to say that to me? I’m over here, spending money I don’t really have to send modest contributions to conservative candidates to help them win. I’m also helping our local candidate to unseat an incumbent.

What are YOU doing, besides amusing yourself with predictions about someone you don’t know, that you created between your two pointy ears?

Drop dead, you ass.

I don't know...It might be fun to take a hundred or so million from the dept of education, and ear-mark it to the Boy Scouts or perhaps the NRA. So long as it didn't increase the budget, F-em if they can't take a joke!

Yes, and seeing there is no way to pump up the Rats in the voters' views, the MSM is going to get busy trying to deflate enthusiasm for Republicans.

But this election is not about electing Republicans per se. It is about stopping Obama and his Marxist lemming Democrats. That is the first order of business: stop the malignancy. Then we work on the cure. If we have to primary every Republican we just elected in 2010, we'll have to do that. But first we have to cut out the cancer.

My bad.

It's just a job. They would work for Steny Hoyer if the pay was better.

Apparently Cantor wouldn't mind working for the Dems either.

But should Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) ascend to his party’s top spot, Cantor said he believes there is hope. Despite contentious House floor colloquies, Cantor’s relationship with Hoyer is “civil.” They both share a passion for Israel and have worked well together in the past. “We’ve actually been in his office — one-on-one and with staff — trying to work on issues,” Cantor said. “So yeah, I think his track record to date is a lot more promising than the speaker, who has indicated absolutely no willingness to talk.”

Oh good. Looking forward to having his buddy Steny move up? Double WTF?

Agreed, but it’s sort of like your mom saying, “don’t even THINK about doing . . . x y z.”

It’s a good opportunity to say the same to Cantor et al.

Cantor said it’s unlikely that health care overhaul legislation will be repealed with Obama in the White House. But it’s more realistic to simply refuse to appropriate money to fund health care reform.

“If you deny agencies monies they need to promulgate [regulations] and do all of that, you certainly can slow a lot of things down and make the case to the public,” he told the group.

I hope they do this.
