Hang her high then give her this epitaph:
SHE WAS OVERWHELMED SO MURDERED HER TWO HELPLESS CHILDREN

Was it Mark Twain that told the tale of the guy who killed both his parents, and then plead for mercy from the court because he was an orphan? When I read the story of the ‘Mom Overwhelmed’ that’s what I came to mind. We’re in an upside down world—as a Christian, I can’t understand
God’s reasons for such things happening on earth, but what comes to mind is Evil has a face. I pray for those children, and that God has mercy on the soul of that ‘overwhelmed mother’.

As I said on another post the Sheriff said they had held her for “non-believeability”. Is there such a thing? Or does this fall under the same category as “truthatude” and “falsity”.

This is exactly why there should be child drop-off facilities.

Well if her unemployment status has overwhelmed her, let her rot in jail for the rest of her life. She’ll get 3 square meals/day and never have to pay a bill or worry about anyone other than her sorry self ever again.

I am the youngest of 4 brothers. Toward the end of her life my mother was in a wheelchair. (early 1960s) I remember her washing the laundry with a wringer washer and hanging the wet clothes on a clothes line by pulling herself out of the wheelchair by grabbing the clothesline, pinning the garment on the line then plopping back in the chair. All the while yelling at us to be quiet because she had a cake in the oven. OVERWHELMED??!!

She's overwhelmed and unemployed so she checks into a hotel (where'd the money for that come from!), kills her boys and then pushes her car (guess she didn't need that!) into the river.
The sheriff's statements get even more ridiculous the further into the article you read:
Williams described Duley as financially desperate, overwhelmed, a "young lady in trouble, in trouble in more ways than she realized."
"She was a mother that was unemployed," said Williams. "She had no way of taking care of her children."
"We believe that her thoughts were for me to be free and to do what I wish to do, whatever that may be, if I didn't have the children, I will get rid of them," he said.

She can share a cell with Susan Smith (who should have been executed, then maybe this kind of behavior would stop).

"The mom has been basically a good mom," the sheriff said. "We believe that her thoughts were for me to be free and to do what I wish to do, whatever that may be, if I didn't have the children, I will get rid of them," he said.
"..she pressed her bare hands over her children's faces, two little boys, and smothered them.
She had recently argued with her mother over parenting,.. [her mother pressured] her to be a more "reliable" mother, said Williams.
She looked them right in the face...and killed them with her bare hands.

I’m sure that my mother felt financially desperate and overwhelmed more than once, while raising me as a divorced parent. And yet, here I still am!

The woman who said she smothered her two little boys "has been ... a good mom," And the woman on that plane in Albuquerque who slapped her child once and the police all over her and her husband like white on rice.
This world has one perverted opinion of what *good* and *bad* parents are.
I also heard them on the news whining about how *financial* pressures were an issue. Now they're going to blame it on that and push for an increase in welfare.
