I heard that church has some four million dollars in which to rebuild. Wonder what the excuse is for the city to keep putting this off?
Now why doesn’t George Stephanopoulos’ father step up? Isn’t he a somebody in that diocese?
Thank you. I will have to get access when I am home. When I clicked on the help button I got nowhere because my company blocks this traffic.
Funny how the MSM, including Little George, has never mentioned the fact that a Greek Orthodox Church was destroyed on September 11, 2001 and the Congregation is having trouble getting approval to rebuild.
But they all know about the Ground Zero MOSQUE.
Stephanopoulos is Socialist Orthodox when he is not busy being a Bill Clinton Butt Boy!!!
Father Robert Stephanopoulos. He is a Greek priest in NYC.
It is odd how this Greek church is getting so much publicity yet you do not see George or his father, the priest, or even the Bishop for their Diocese speak on the matter.
There is no excuse. The church has asked the Port Authority of NY/NJ to allow the church to be built one block away from where it was before September 11, 2001. This means that the Port Authority would have to trade its property for the one the church has. This is the 'so called' contentious issue.
The Mayor of NYC, who falls all over himself while getting involved with the Ground Zero MOSQUE, chooses not to intervene in order to get this issue resolved between the two parties.
Bottom line: There is no Glory (or money for that matter) in standing up for a Christian Church. But you can get enormous PC accolades from the MSM, OBAMA Administration and the Hollywood elite by pulling out all the stops to get this MOSQUE built in time for someones reelection!!!
They do....they get no help from the media! I've recieved emails forwarded by others from the church with pleas for help
It is generally our custom in Eastern Orthodoxy to decline a spotlight.
I have never heard of that and I was raised in the Greek church. Hopefully, then, they are working behind the scenes.
