Can't be true. Ithaca doesn't have an operating system[2] named after it.

There is absolutely no industry other than the colleges to support a local economy.Yes Ithaca Guns long gone as well as Morse Chain. BTW, Ithaca College and 3/4 of Cornell are New York State institutions so a lot Ithaca citizens are living on backs of taxpayers.

My brother lives in the Penn Yan area and it's salt of the earth type people. We may be going up that way on vacation next week. Here in Connecticut the cities tend to be liberal havens but get outside them and you'll see more republican yard signs the democrat ones.
