Incidents of discrimination and bias aimed at Muslim Americans have been rising since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. But anti-Muslim rhetoric has taken an ominous turn in recent months... Shouldn't there be some 'ominous' music? Theme from JAWS?

” a growing number of political and community leaders some with tea-party affiliations have begun warning of a Muslim takeover of America.”
Muslims are here for some other reason?

Islamophobic is used to describe people that have an unreasonable fear of Islam. Anyone that does not have a fear of Islam has an unreasonable fear of facts. There is nothing good about Islam.

Yes, and in America people such as Charles Lindbergh stated that if the Germans won the War in Europe we should try to get along with them. People in the USA were mightily pi**ed at him for saying those things once Pearl Harbor was bombed(he said them before Pearl).

Anyone who is not Islamophobic has not been paying attention or is already Mahometan.

“Islamophobic” in all its implications except “irrational” is the only rational reaction to the phenomenon.

Tell them to pack it up. Ride their magic carpet back to the sandbox and ride your smelly camels.

Good grief. I thought the racist card has been played out. This is just another variation. I guess no one can every criticize a Muslim — the new third rail — or be called Islamophobic. Guess what, Mister Haynes. No one cares what you think! No one is going to be intimidated by this JournoList tactic. The truth is that Mister Haynes is just another anti-American anti-Christian anti-Constitution HATER!

Is the tea-party movement Islamophobic?Don't be silly.
I was islamophobic decades before the Tea Party Movement was a gleam in conservatives' eyes.
And proud.
I have a framed picture of Jan Sobiesky in every room of my house.

Anyone who supports and defends the Constitution must automatically be against Islam.
They stand in direct opposition to one another.
Islam is a cult that seeks to destroy America.

If the Cordoba Center is being built to express “religious tolerance”, then why doesn’t it contain multifaith alcoves? A Catholic chapel, a Jewish temple, a Buddhist temple...?
