If you can get hold of it, the NOVA program on TBT was great.
They went to some of the big names (Berliz, Warner) and let them shoot themselves in the foot. They got Warner to admit he lied in his books to make better stories. Then they showed conclusively that statistically that there just wasn’t anything going on.

I remember reading an article some years ago that said if you took any single area of ocean the size of the Bermuda Triangle, anywhere in the world, over time you would find dozens, if not hundred of mysterious disappearances.
