Lone Ranger, Cisco Kid, Fibber McGee...shall I go on?
I have the same opinion of my wife.
And I’ve heard that Jill Biden insists that she be called “Doctor” Biden. That may just T off Michelle.
LOL... The Whistler was one of my favorites. Oh and The Shadow.

While I enjoy many of todays comforts, I dearly miss those simple and innocent days.
And the Great Gildersleeve and Our Miss Brooks.
well, there’s one presidential couple and one vice presidential couple ... so the other 3 are BO/MO/Bite-me.
That is exactly what I was trying to get across. Her kind, gracious and gentle soul made her the most beautiful woman in the room. Compared to Jackie, she would be considered plain by many but her spirit was a light that illuminated every aspect of her being and when in the presence of such a person, they are anything but ordinary.
I’m playing with Youtube right now... some of the oldies are there.
“The Man That Murdered Time” on The Shadow Knows... kinda fun.
I have been thinking of buying an old radio (small) to put in our Airstream trailer... this chat has made me think of it again. Guess I’ll start the research. ;>)
Is this a big f###ing deal?
I think is a white thing.
“Or I could just replace my evening coffee with a glass of wine and chill out...lol.”
Definitely go for the wine :-))
Something that may make you smile - O’Reilly had a couple of good things - if it’s online, check out Glenn Beck’s segment - always funny but especially so when they were talking about Stephen King’s latest spoutings. GB asked Bill if they could do their tour in Maine really close to King and then everyone lock arms, go to his house and stand outside singing kumbya. Really got the guys in the studio guffawing. Also, last comment on the show about Obama spending his birthday with his (surrogate wife:-)) Oprah and pals since michelle ma belle was in Spain. (I added that part about the surrogate wife, not Bill, of course).
“Authori-tie? Doesnt Cartman pronounce it authoritah? Mind you, this is really of the highest significance. :)”
LOL - oh, you guys. South Park, one of my very favorite shows. I was shocked at first when my (then) 10 yr. old nephew wanted me to watch it years ago. I soon got hooked, though.
It’s Authoritay. :-)))))))
See my post #152 - it’s authoritay :-)
“And the Great Gildersleeve and Our Miss Brooks.”
Brings back my childhood! I don’t remember the GG, but how about December Bride (with Spring Byington) and Oh Susannah (with Gale Storm)? Oh, and Dobie Gillis (with Dwayne Hickman) and the Bob Cummings Show (with Cleo the basset hound, of course:-)
“I have been thinking of buying an old radio (small) to put in our Airstream trailer.”
You guys are really making me nostalgic tonight. My little sister and I got to spend the night once in our retired neighbors’ Airstream parked in their backyard. What a treat, we really thought we were camping out!
And radios - I wish I knew where I could get my hands on a transistor radio, my grandpa got me one in 6th grade or so and I wore out many a battery falling asleep with it to my ear, listening to pop music on FM stations. Even though I grew up in rural nw Missouri, at night I could get not only WHB in kansas city but KOMA in oklahoma and WLS in chicago!!!
We bought out Airstream on April 1st this year, so we are new to them. It is like taking a step back into time... we love it. A week from this Friday, we take off on our first real trip with it. We will travel for about a month trying to follow the sun.
For your radio, I’d try the net. I have a few vintage radios that I am looking at for the trailer.
I enjoy everything nostalgic. While I enjoy making new memories, I hang on to the older ones.
I regret that the kids of today will never get to live those simple times of innocence. I guess that’s just the way things go as the generations fly by.
Wow! If looks could kill...what’s up with that?
I grew up in KCMO area and listened to WHB too. Those were the days weren’t they?
I was under the impression it had 2 (time zones, that is...)
the infowarrior
Wow. Get the popcorn ready folks, November is really going to be a tough month for Michelle.
Oh yeah, and the man-child too.
