Yeah, the blood just “JUMPED” into his mouth. He didn’t mean to drink it.
But he did intend to kill the guy.
My 17 year old daughter was complaining about this the other day. She said thanks to Twilight all books are about Vampires these days. She also said that many of her class mates are sick of the Vampire trend and hate Twilight. They think Twilight is a Harry Potter ripoff.
Ann Rice never really became Christian in my belief. She may have said so publicly but I doubt she tried in her heart to actually become Christian. I think it was a publicity stunt.
Her books are filled with homosexual characters. Also pedophiles and the whole idea of vampirism is an homage to necrophilia really.
The knife was in his hand and it just went off. It happens.
They should ban knives that do that. /sarc
I quit reading Rice after the first vampire book. I understand about marginality, we all can relate to the outsider, particularly in adolescence. But after the mulattos (Feast of All Saints) and the castrati (Cry To Heaven) and then a vampire, it was getting really old; it had all been said — all that was in Rice, anyway.
Then she turned to Christianity, as if she needed a new alienation; and now she’s outside that. And in the process made millions on the confusion of her young readers. Or should I say millstonillions.
“It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around your neck, than to cause one of these little ones to sin...”
