Not only bad grammar, but why did she even write that? It seems so forced. Something is strange about the comment. I know they do not celebrate birthdays, so perhaps she was advised she must say something. Or, was she trying to make it look like Obama's family will be with him another year, when actually they are tired of the whole scene and would rather not be in Washington but just want to reassure him they will stay. (Remember, MaBelle is going to a friend's villa in Spain with the girls, not staying around for Zero's pretend birthday.) In all, it seems to be a very strange comment --- totally devoid of love or affection. But then, I have always felt there is no love between these two, and hasn't been for many years. Another "opportunistic" marriage in politics.
