Gutless.
Chickenshit.
Spineless.
Cowards.
Republicans.
If the Democrats weren’t so damn horrible, no one with any sense would ever vote Republican.

I give my take on the Andrew Breitbart’s video of Shirley Sherrod’s speech before the NAACP. I am re posting it from another thread:
The video of Shirley Sherrod’s speech revealed the racism of the NAACP audience. There is no way one could mistake the overwhelming evidence of racism. I believe Breitbart wanted to reveal black racism against whites that is the true picture of the NAACP, an organization that is trying to tie racism to the Tea Party movement.
Sherrod was only the catalyst and and the interaction between her and the audience is the main subject. Sherrod was throwing out comments that not only triggered racist reactions against whites, but it also revealed an acceptance of Marxism where wealth is redistributed. This paints a revealing picture of the NAACP!
I see the State Owned Media has done its best to muddy the waters with the focus on Sherrod. This is an effort to shift focus away from the real culprit, the NAACP. And Sherrod, who has acted to promote the medias effort to redeem her, has dug herself in deeper with revelations about her husbands racism and now their business dealings.

Nice to see that CNN is still lying about the video being edited. From everything I’ve been able to learn on this, Breitbart did not do any editing, rather, just excerpted a bite from the whole video. Good thing no one actually watches CNN anymore.

Just as well Steele does not deserve the credibility that Brietbart would give him anyway.

Wow, the Republican party REALLY doesn’t want any money from the grass roots, do they?
Ya know, they do NOT call me anymore. I s’pose a year and a half of getting my opinion of their pussyfooting ways finally got the message through.
This is true stupidity.

Oh, so now Sherrod is the victim of that racist predator Breitbart. OK.

Once again, Republicans bow to the leftists because it’s easier than doing their own thinking.
The real story here is that the NAACP members comprising the audience cheered when Sherrod stated she had screwed a white guy solely on the basis of his race.
They didn’t wait for the part where she claimed to have put her racism aside and in fact they couldn’t have cared less if she did.
To them the important part of the story is that she used her position of power to stick it to Whitey.
The gutless Republicans should be clearly stating their objections to the NAACP approval of racism instead of teaming with leftists to disparage Breitbart.

This isn't a bad thing.
Assuming that they are both working towards the same goal (ie, politically damaging and bringing down Obama and the Dems) such a move give both Breitbart AND the RNC a heck of a lot more maneuvering room to focus on their respective areas of specialty.
I'm assuming that most of us have seen the Mary Frances Berry interview where she says that it doesn't matter whether the Tea Party is racist or not - Dems still need to throw out the racism charge because it's an effective distraction against talking about a lack of jobs, etc (article
here.
If this fundraiser or any other joint activity takes place, then the media emphasis will be on the
relationship, rather than what is actually being said and exposed. "Plausible deniability" in the form of both sides (Breitbart and the RNC) being able to claim independence and distance from one another is an effective counter to such tactics.
