Alot of democrats are just ignorant (about many other things also) about the Crawford situation. Since it was run as a western white house everything needed to run the war and the country at large was present. Briefings were held and then Bush could relax and recharge (a man in his shoes should to that efficiently) in an environment best suited to him. Texas.
Obama is doing all these photo op tours on the road while being kept under wraps by handlers less he be confronted with a microphone without a Teleprompter. He can still be reached and issue commands in a crisis (which isn’t something we can be sure he would really do sitting in the White House in any event) but it really can’t compare to a the relaxing ranch that was basically a Western-West Wing.
I always thought of that as a South American / Carribean word. I used it once in class debate and almost got suspended. Only got out of trouble thanks to my friends at Merriam-Webster. I still had to apologize to the class and the teacher.

Ok, you’re right. Yesterday it was all over the place that this story was bogus, but today I see it is true. When I am wrong I admit it. Why you had the need to be so snippy about it is beyond me...but..whatever.
I was kinda thinking she was meeting with Royalty to make the fun vacation trip a business trip so that the tax payers would not complain about footing the bill.
After her and the girls leave the WhiteHouse and Obama goes back to running the streets she won’t have the funds to take the girls on world wide trips.
She is taking advantage of a free ride.

Dear King Vanity,
Every year, our family tries to come up with a fun way to wish Barack a happy birthday.
And this August 4th, when he turns 49, I have something new in mind.
This has been a big — and hectic — year for him. After signing the Affordable Care Act and Wall Street reform into law — and completing his first year as president — I think it’s safe to say we will remember it for a long time.
And I know full well how much he credits this movement, and the work of supporters like you, for the change that we’ve accomplished.
So I’m putting together a birthday card that I would like you to sign. Together with other Organizing for America supporters — and me, Malia, Sasha, and Bo — we’ll wish him a happy birthday and let him know that we’re ready to take on the year ahead alongside him.

This year also brought a lot of surprises — some good and some bad.
Supporters like you have helped him make the best of it — by contacting Congress to help push stalled legislation forward, by re-engaging supporters in the political process, by giving back with service projects across the country, and so much more.
And while we can’t know what the coming year will bring, all of us, working together, will continue pushing forward for change.
