Anybody else see a pattern, or am I the only one?

Administration attempts to regulate internet usage.
Administration “doesn’t stop” military data leak.
Administration now pushes harder to regulate internet usage.

Administration attempts to regulate domestic oil production.
Administration “doesn’t stop” BP gulf oil leak.
Administration now pushes harder to regulate domestic oil production.

Administration attempts to regulate financial markets.
Administration “doesn’t stop” recession from spreading.
Administration now pushes harder to regulate financial markets.

I swear I’m seeing a pattern...

The Kenyan wants the Taliban, AQ, and Pak’s terrorists to know our military secrets.

So how else to do it? He can’t exactly sent them messages on his Blackberry can he?

“WHY didn’t the Obama administration try to stop the publication of Military secrets?!”

This is what Obama meant when he promised “transparency”.

At the very least, the administration should be working at plugging the leaks, determining the leakers, and countering and discrediting future leaks with false information that would as well assist in ferreting out leakers...

What if they don't want the leaks plugged? Obama wants American military missions to fail...he is not on our side.

Are private media even subject to prosecution on classified material? Isn’t that strictly for goverment employees?

..................

Why? It's my understanding that while publishing might sneak by, receiving classified material in print, not verbal, form is a felony. No way this was all dictated. Whoever received the physical material should be in jail.

Can't conduct a war this way.

Who would have access? I think we know. Who would have motive? I think we know. Who didn’t attempt to prevent the leak? I think we know.

I don’t know what level these documents reach. Are they classified, secret, top secret, or all of the above?

Surely an intensive investigation is underway by the DOJ to discover who leaked these classified documents. /sarc

Because they wanted this out there to crucify Bush. This is fodder for the election. You bet it is, especially when the attack happens and thousands more American Citizens are murdered in the name of Allah and Obama.

I tend to agree with you as far as 0bozo. LOL

However, there are good people in intelligence that work to protect and defend the US regardless any clown that may occupy 1600 Pennsylvania. As well, assuming there were programs and policies implemented following other recent leaks I would not be surprised to see some leakers tracked down after this latest release.

Then international espionage laws would apply.
Either way there are very old international laws on the books to control this kind of information.

And herein lies the nub of the issue....you really don’t agree with me about Obama’s motives or you would not have “LOL”.

You and most others (including the military and intell agencies) do not believe that he really is sinister or mendacious towards the US. Most think he is just a garden variety leftwinger.

And you all could be right....but I am not so sure.

What would the military and the good people in our intell agencies do if they thought he was working in sympathy and literally FOR our enemies?

What could they do?

I agree with the motives of the administration; however, think 0bozo more as an empty suit front man with teleprompter being used than as an evil genius with a master plan. I think he is a useful idiot that evil forces rallies behind. I laugh at the idiot in front at fear the evil behind him...

This will force the Obama administration into a nice exit ramp out of Afghanistan and the net-roots will be in love again.

Obama could have just picked up the phone and called the leaders of the countries whose news organizations were about to publish national security information. Those countries are fighting along side us in Afghanistan, their leaders could have prevailed over the media.

Another extremely troubling aspect is, since it was known for a long time that Wikileak has a ton of secret documents, why didn’t the Obama administration and Homeland security get them from Wikileak, BEFORE they gave them to the news organizations.

“What could they do?”

They could start by leaking his Kenyan birth certificate, his Indonesian citizenship papers and a few other things...

...because Soetero's peeps are using Wikileaks as a cut-out to hide the fact that the White House is the real leaker, of course.
