Didn't we hear the same about 0bama when we wondered if he was in attendance when Jeremiah Wright gave his sermons?
Yes, it does keep unemployment, trillions in deficits, the Gulf devastation off the news, eh?
Breitbart brilliantly drips information, allowing time for the perpetrators to craft and communicate a defense, only to follow-up with a knock-out punch that swiftly voids the defense and nullifies the perpetrator’s credibility.
Do you want to hear some horror stories about the way gov’t. business is handled by some of these favored and privileged individuals....??? NOT to be believed!!!
She is telling a story which begins with the death of her own father killed by whites in a racially motivated attack. She was telling the story of how she had to deal with her own bitter resentments against whites while finding herself in the position to have to help white farmers in her position of director of rural development for her county. She is revealing what her struggle was and she was openly confessing how she was wrong to feel the way she did. She was reporting of this incident that had taken place at the beginning of her career and how she was confronted with her own racial feelings and hatreds still festering and certainly linked to the death of her own father. She goes on to explain how she realized she could not continue with that mindset and how she prayed for God's strength to carry on with an unbiased view. I think this brief clip going around does a great disservice to what Ms. Sherrod is really about. I was actually quite moved by her story. She's a liberal, for sure, and loves Obama. . .but she is being treated very unfairly and is being misrepresented.
She made the mistake of thinking that the day of Black superiority and reverse racism doesn't mean that the little people who give those at the top their power aren't expendable.
Do you think she'll learn from this and recognize that liberal ideology is really all about exploitation of the "little guy" for the betterment of those in charge, and NOT serving the little guy as they pretend.
I seriously doubt that.
She may be angry, but she won't bother to make the effort to get the blinders from her eyes and start thinking for herself.
Nothing in her experience gives her the tools, let alone the inclination, for such courage and independence...such FREEDOM.
She may be free technically, but she is a slave to liberal ideology...and it's new Massa, Barack Obama.
Breitbart didn’t release this to get Ms. Sherrod. He did it to expose the NAACP after they smeared the TEA Party.
This much I agree with him on. I found the reaction of the crowd to be the undeniable/unspinnable/inexcusable part of the video. Whether this woman had a change of heart, or whether, at the end of her speech she talked about it being an illustration of how far she has personally come, is significant to her, but a sideline to the main issue.
If the NAACP can (falsely) denounce teapartiers for possible-but-not-proven racist undertones, they had better take a long look in the mirror. This video clearly illustrates a tolerance, and arguably outright support, of racism when it is blacks injuring whites.
That he was in the audience just illustrates the hypocrisy.
Jealous was snookered by crackers.
Breaking news where?
some obscure blogger’s basement?
no one cares....sadly
That's a crime against America and personal liberty in itself.
A worse crime than many for which people are suffering worse consequences than she is.
Sure, Sherrod is a convenient scapegoat and it's horrible what's being done to her in comparison to the atrocities Obama and many others have gotten passes on, but it's not as bad, IMO, as the deliberate lies claiming racism for purely self-serving political reasons by Ben Jealous, Obama and their propagandists in the media.
Sherrod put herself in this position by ever trusting those who will ALWAYS put their interests over the "little people" they pretend to be all about representing.
Good catch! I wonder if anyone will ask Ben Jealous?

The clip at the link doesn’t have her full speech, although I sensed, seeing only the partial clip, that the full talk might reveal the additional nuance you described. However, one problem — in the print story, it says that she was appointed to the position LAST YEAR. If that’s the case, the incident she is describing didn’t happen “early in her career”, I don’t think.
My ONLY point is Ms. Sherrod is being inaccurately portrayed. Everything else you say I agree with. . .I'm just commenting, in this case, that Ms. Sherrod is not justifying her racist feelings. . .she is telling a story of her journey to transcend those feelings. We will only weaken our position if we feel we can and should misrepresent things. That's what the liberals do. . .we don't have to do that because we have the truth and there are almost an unlimited amount of true examples of the iniquities that we conservatives oppose.
Nonsense.
I watched the entire video and saw a bitter racist/socialist bent on destroying this country.
Why did she even mention Rodney King? What on earth does Rodney King have to do with her? 17th century indentured servants? Egads.
More important, why didn’t she she mention her lawsuit against the USDA that Holder settled for $13 million? Or how she was appointed to the USDA only days later?
Racism + Corruption = Obama’s Waterloo.
Ms. Sherrod isn’t the point of this story. Breitbart wasn’t trying to get her fired, that was a panicked reaction by the Obama administration.
Breitbart’s point was the room full of NAACP members cheering on admittedly racist behavior, before realizing it’s a story of conversion.
Ms. Sherrod should not be the story. We should not let her be the story.
The NAACP has acted stupidly...
Apparently, she could have been referring to the President of the local chapter, not the national organization.
