It’s just officially sanctioned murder.

Since it isn’t Bush, there will be no cries of NAZI!
This country is in deep trouble.

i do find it worrisome that Napolitano says there are no terrorists, and there are no terror events, just ‘man made disasters’

kinda curious as to what this Administration will use to define ‘terrorist’...

dissenters?

In the Ohahas' obsessive thirst for power, they have made the Congress irrelevant----and now this.

The Ohahas' Assasination Bureau will have the effect of consuming the judicial system, making due process irrelevant.

Americans are left to deal with an arrogant Executive branch----composed of Chicago mobsters on steroids---- administering their govt.

So much for the land of the free.

Assassinating citizens is just as wrong as it was to hold Padilla without charges. US Citizens have a right to due process and are innocent until proven guilty. We may not like said citizen, but laws have to be absolute.

Aside from the constitutional issues here, a program to assassinate citizens stands in stark contrast to a lawsuit against the State of Arizona for enforcing laws related to illegal immigrants - and the suit isn’t about the law, it’s about enforcement.

How far would it take to turn this on its head to where simple opponents are assassinated like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh ?

All of this handwringing is just pre-9/11 thinking. We’re at War. Let’s Roll!

You make a valid point.

I do not have a personal problem with the policy itself. However, like you, I do not trust this administration's objectivity in implementing the policy.

So do I.
Largely because the principle undermines their arguement for closing Gitmo and the handling of unlawful combatants.

Is this a problem for you?

Is due process a problem for you? We're talking about American citizens here, not foreign enemy combatants. The potential for abuse of something like this is precisely why we have due process. The President is not a king.

Literal, yes. I hold an MSEE. Things are black and white to me, especially things like Constitutional law and the abuse thereof. Naive? LOL! You know absolutely nothing about me. The truth is I’ve traveled to 49 states and over 20 countries. I built two very successful engineering businesses and retired before 40. I’ll put my world experience up against yours anytime you’d like, partner. It never ceases to amaze me how some people here on FR can take a handful of words and draw such broad assumptions. Let me know when you graduate from high school. I’m sure it will be a momentous achievement for you.....assuming you don’t wind up on a gubmint hit list.....
