"My crew is thrilled with the opportunity to interact with the Korean people and show them their incredible level of pride and professionalism."

The ladies of Busan feel the same way.

Guided tours, how brilliant, nothing could go wrong there. Be sure to show them the mess hall a-la USS Cole.

SONOBUOY PING!

Click on pic for past Navair pings.

Post or FReepmail me if you wish to be enlisted in or discharged from the Navair Pinglist.
The only requirement for inclusion in the Navair Pinglist is an interest in Naval Aviation.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.

Just stay out of the NoKo waters, else we’ll have another Pueblo on our hands.

Out the gate, past the First chance/Last chance cafe
go down the main drag, turn right on Creep street
cross skivvy bridge and you’re at the STAR bar, a
holdover from the occupation days, crossed japanese
and American flags faded on the walls, only a pot
belly stove for heat but a sweet mamasan, the girls
were homely but willing, drinks were 50cents, every
third drink free.

Memories of Iwakuni 1967...

15 years early for me brother, but cheers anyhow... You were more deservin of that type of RnR than we ever were I reckon... But, we did stomach a lot of that stomached when there ain’t no fightin goin. The nit pickin started and it did get tiresome...

Still remember the San Miguel(sp?) beer with ice stuck to the bottle when they served it! 50cents I think we were payin. All I know is I got good and drunk, got a girl, hotel and then breakfast before I was pullin out my next 20...
