I think they are smart enough to tie the performance to state wide testing, all students getting the same test.
At least I hope they are smart enough!!!
If a politician doesn’t make Ronald Reagan look like Keith Olberman, people here will call him a RINO.
I live in NJ and have found a wonderful way to annoy liberals, of which there are many.
When the conversation turns to politics, as it often does among seniors, I mention, in the form of a question, such as “Did you know that Christi means “follower of Christ” in Latin.”
It’s guaranteed to cause a few jaws to lock up every time.
I am a teacher & I will tell you that the graft & waste of money comes directly from each district’s central office ( home of the superintendent & their attendent cronies & overpayed minions), so who knows, but anyone who has the guts to stand up to these dictators (& that is precisely what they are....... we only do what they tell us....) is a hero to teachers everywhere. Superintendents rule w/ fear and are NEVER questioned.
As for grade inflation.... it’s so far out of control that I don’t think it can ever be brought back to reality( I teach in a primary school and it starts in KINDERGARTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
He needs improvement on a couple of fronts (Second Amendment for one), but is far better than those we've been saddled with over the past twenty years.
“Not to be a wet blanket, but doesnt this mean that more students will be passed with artificially high grades so the merit can be demonstrated for the higher pay?”
That’s always a problem. Or standards go down so it’s easier for them to pass. It’s really going ot be up to parents to make sure this isn’t happening with their kids.
That’s a good one!!!
The last thing Criste needs is to be photographed standing next to a thin & healthy woman.
I love what Criste’s doing with NJ, but he needs to make a few “cuts” in his meals, too.
Think of the possibilities. “I’ve gotten mean and lean, and it’s time for the government to do likewise.”
