No, it isn’t like that. The information Google picks up is incidental to their primary mission of providing the public with street views. The NYT intentionally comprised the security of our public officials.

BINGO - you got to the real heart of the issue.
That said, and in spite of our Congress critters’ own motives, I don’t like or trust Google anymore than I do the Dimorats.
