If there was ever an opportunity for China to secure and expand what is euphemistically called a “sphere of influence” in which only the Chinese military is allowed to operate, now is the time.

Nah, they are watching us self-destruct. When the USA hits bottom (or finds itself in a civil war), THAT's when China will strike.

I think one more term from Obama and a continuation of a Democrat-controlled Congress should do the trick then.

The economy, our sovereignty within our borders and our security in the international arena will be seriously degraded if we continue to emulate our European friends.

We are two elections away from oblivion.

The pattern has been going on for some time now. Perhaps since Nixon. Remember China held US airmen hostage during the Bush administration without a response.

Is the Yellow Sea considered International waters?

China’s greatest weapon is Obama. Never mind ships - he is sinking the economy.

““Just as we’d block a snoring person from approaching one’s bed, can we allow other people to perform a sword dance right in front of our door?,””

It’s uninspiring to perform the sword dance when someone is snoring.

It appears that NK SK and China border the sea. It cannot ALL belong to China and there would be hell to pay if they started to restrict waters off SK’s west coast.

Better to confront them now

“Just as we’d block a snoring person from approaching one’s bed..."

I've never actually seen a snoring person approach anybody's bed, or do much of anything for that matter. If they are snoring they are generally pretty dormant at that point. And as for fishy tiger lions. Aren't ligers impotent/infertile?
