Very nice. And I thought some of my BSA parts were hard to find. Here's a photo of the Stella from he'll. I've had it for five years.

Was at the quarter midget track for race day today. Caught most of the race after we got home. Heat 1 - 2nd (out of 3), Heat 2 - 3rd, Main Event - 3rd.

We’ll work on my son’s racing line some more. :-)

That’s nice! Do you belong to the Vintage Motor Bike Club back in Ohio? My kid had a older BSA for a while but he sold it to a friend of his. I don’t think there was anything he had to buy for the Powell. A local electrical shop had the parts to rebuild the magneto and a employee of my son built a aluminum clutch cover that looks like the original. btw, that Powell built engine is 250cc and had a top speed of 60 mph. I rode on the back of a buddy’s back in 49 or 50.

Remember, there are the smaller Bandelaros for the younger racers...

I live in NH. I just stop at the AMA museum whenever I ride through Columbus. I usually do one vintage bike a year. This year it was a 72 Triumph bobber. I ride them for a year or two an then sell them to make room for the next one. I’m looking for a Norton next... Or maybe another Vespa.

Me too. Young 20-year-old men with torsoes of bronzed muscles like a pan of dinner rolls are so bizarrely different from post-menopausal women (me) -—he seems like a different species. Our Ben. (Pride) (Sigh)

Yes. I’d like to do Bandaleros. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to run them in the Pacific Northwest. Even Legends is pretty spotty here. There are two cars that run at PIR, and about four at South Sound.

Same here about the small cars but there is a pretty good contingent of Thunder Roadsters racing regularly at Redwood Acres including last night. This is the results of the 2 nights of annual Fair nights racing a couple of weeks ago...

Here is a short history of the track... Wiki

Yes, another crapola race by a chassis that’s been raced 4 times now. The last two races (Las Vegas and the All-Star race) had the exact same problem as last night — sooooooooooo they must not work on the problems between races!

I hope it goes to the junk pile in the woods now along with the Daytona car.

235 and I was lucky to get that. -4 in the league but that’s racing!

Very late nite for the missus and I. Went back to the Bend Summerfest after the race and watched the ‘fests closing act “The Samples”. They’re very good and apparently were a famous college tour band in the late 80’s and 90’s.

Another hot +90 day in store here.

I got 215 points but still in 10th place(?) and I’m only 425 points out of First Place. For every hot day the inland areas have we have morning and evening fog...

they must not work on the problems between races!

So...just what does HMS & Lance McDoodoo and crew do to fix the set up, tune the engine, and test between races? Hmmmm?

Do they go to DisneyWorld, watch America's Got Talent, or play Texas hold-em?

All part of the Hendrick conspiracy twofer.

By hiring Jr., he gets all the sponsor $$ that come with the most popular driver in NASCAR
and
he gets to eliminate one possible contender to Jimmie's (or Jeff's) crown.

The 5 has never really compared to either the 48 or 24 and the same can now be said about the 88. Hmmmmm...

(Plus, Hendrick charges dealer prices for parts at two his local dealerships!)

Wouldn’t life be wonderful if we could just have 43 winners. Perhaps Nascar could solve all of this by limiting a owner to one car one driver...

I was actually 3 short on the chassis - it was raced 7 times - hard to keep up with it.

What did you mean by changing prices GBA?

It has been voiced by fans that he only wanted the merchandising money from Jr which he gets whether he runs well or not. However, having said that, it does appear merchandise dollars for Jr are falling. A LOT went to the #3 merchandise which thankfully Mr H only has a 25% cut in JRM - maybe, if they were smart, they cut him out of that loop totally!

HMS has too many irons in the fire, the second shop has always brought crap to the track.

I would like to have a peek at the contract to see if Jr has an opt out clause, otherwise he will suffer for two more years.

He says to the media, he is happy with cc and the rest, but don’t let him fool you. By listening to his scanner one can catch the unhappiness and resolution in his voice that he already knows the car will run crappy, even before they start the race.

The fans always have high hopes - but we’re disappointed every single week.
