I’VE GOT POPCORN, TWINKIES, NUTS AND CHOCOLATE READY FOR “THE REVEAL”.
Thanks for the ping!
:-)
Just a weird coincidence. ;’) Thanks bitt.
Say, didn’t old Tony buy some land the same day Obama bought a house. And didn’t that property just happen to be adjacent to Obama’s new house?
not only did Rezko ‘arrange’ the Obamas’ home purchase while buying the adjacent lot (b/c the seller would only sell the home in one deal with the adjacent lot), but then Rezko conveniently decided to ‘sell’ (cheap) a strip of land from his own lot to the Obamas (to expand their garden and privacy), which made their home/garden more appealing while dramatically reducing the value of the remaining lot...... but of course these were merely random commercial transactions and not designed to do any special favors for Obozo......
I don’t know the answers to any of your questions, but they’re good questions.
THIS ONE NEEDS A REPOST!

Lets run down the list, shall we...
1. Allison Davis, Obamas boss at his law firm, was a player in the extortion attempt in the Board Games case. Davis also partnered with Rezko and received taxpayer subsidies to rehab apartments and homes, getting deal after deal from Mayor Daley. Daley, Davis, Rezko, Blago, and Obama have all worked together to obtain government funding for said housing development. In exchange, the slumlords have financed Blago and Obamas political careers.
2. Two politicians specifically received donations from the kickback schemes. You guessed it. Blago and Obama. From the first pay-off, 20K was funneled through the pizza businesses to Obama.
3. Rezko was a major player in a scheme to obtain millions of dollars by shaking down firms doing business before two boards that Stuart Levine served on, the Teachers Retirement System and the Hospital Facilities Planning Board. Blago, his campaign manager, Obama, along with others, got Levine re-appointed to the Hospital Facilities Planning Board.
4. John Rogers, the head of an investment firm that ended up with major money from the pension funds, was a member of Obamas finance committee for his Senate and Presidential run. Others on the finance committee for the Senate run: Tony and Rita Rezko, Allison Davis, and Mike Cherry.
5. After Rezkos indictment, Obama donated all of the $11.5K that Rezko gave in campaign contributions. Ha, funny thing is, it turned out to be close to 250K.
6. Massuda was one of several members of the Health Facilities Planning Board appointed by Blago to serve after he won legislative approval to overhaul its membership. Who signed off on the legislative approval? You guessed it, Obama.
7. Mayor Daley, endorsed Obama for President. So, in the spirit of reciprocation, Obama endorsed Daley and his running mates despite various City Hall corruption scandals. Oh yeah, Daleys brother also got a job as an Obama advisor.
8. Alexi Giannoulias became state treasurer after Obama vouched for him. In return, Giannoulias agreed to raise money for Obamas Presidential run. While Alexi was overseeing Broadway Banks loans, the bank made more than $12 million in loans to Michael Giorango, now convicted bookmaker and prostitution ring promoter. Alexi held a fundraiser for Obama in Sept. 2007, a fact that Obama tried to keep hidden. Alexi also served on Obamas finance committee (Presidential).
9. Valerie Jarrett, met Michelle Obama while Michelle worked for Mayor Daley. In 2006, Jarrett was given a high-ranking job by the University of Chicago, Michelles employer, to be chair of the Medical Center Board and the newly created Executive Committee of that board.
10. Robert Blackwell Jr. paid Obama an $8,000-a-month retainer for legal advice for a technology firm he owned. As a thank you, Obama wrote a letter so that another company Blackwell owned could receive a state grant.
11. After Blago was elected governor, the TPS board was stacked so that favored investment firms were able to invest parts of the retirement funds $30 billion in assets. The Co-Schemers, including William Cellini, then demanded kickbacks and worked to funnel money to Blago and Obamas political careers.
12. The Co-Schemers then reduced the size of the HFP board from 15 to 9 members, stacking it with 5 so that they had the majority. In 2004, the HFP board approved the building of a new hospital, though state analysts said it was not needed. Barack Obama was the chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services and was in on the correspondence for the TPS and HFP boards. The reason the hospital was not built? Fitzgerald. The builder of the hospital paid bribes to those who made the construction of the hospital possible. Kiferbaum pleaded guilty and is now singing like Rezko.
Interesting that this ‘deal’ is a crime, yet the Obama/Rezko ‘deals’(which amount to the same and/or worse schemes)are not subject to the same laws.
To your question..’What’s wrong with this picture?’ My answer would be EVERYTHING?!
The delay in sentencing would suggest that Rezko was cooperating with the ongoing investigations, etc.
Not sure Obama would pardon him too early,, as you mentioned, a pardon after he loses is most likely..
What a sad state of affairs in the Land of Lincoln.. and America. ThugNation Rules.
Blago’s crime is Chicago Way politics as usual. IMO, his mistake was to usurp the powers-that-be pecking order, and they tossed him under Fitz’s bus.
Good guess. I just fear that Fitz’s ‘bus’ has turned into a tricycle or one of those unicycles you see in the circus. I fear Fitz has been bought off.
I had also heard that the Obamas got their house below market value while Rezko paid the full value for his plot of land.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm ....
FBIs Pete Cullen Who Ran Blago Wiretaps Retires at 61 as Most Senior Agent in the Nation
FBI agent Pete Cullen should have retired in 2006 when he reached the mandatory retirement age of 57. But the FBI wanted to keep him around for his expertise. He ended up running the wire taps on ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who is currently on trial. Last week, after getting extensions to stay, he finally retired at age 61, which made him the most senior FBI agent in the country.
(snip)
For more than two months preceding the arrest, Cullen spent every night coordinating more than 100 agents who, in shifts, monitored at least nine different phone lines belonging to Blagojevich and those in his inner circle.
By FBI rules, Cullen shouldnt have even been there. He reached the FBIs mandatory retirement age of 57 in 2006.
But again and again, Chicagos FBI chief Robert Grant had something else in mind for the longtime agent and supervisor.

But again and again, Chicago’s FBI chief Robert Grant had something else in mind for the longtime agent and supervisor.
In the spring of 2008, Grant got special permission to extend Cullen’s tenure and appointed him acting assistant special agent in charge of public corruption.
“My timing was impeccable,” says Cullen, who, at 61, retired last week as the most senior FBI agent in the country.
In all, the FBI granted special extensions five times to keep Cullen’s wealth of knowledge and expertise.
(snip)
It was Cullen who showed Director Robert Mueller into a room in the Chicago FBI building.
Mueller asked his bodyguards to step outside and then the tapes rolled for just Mueller, Cullen and Grant.
Mueller listened, then stopped.
“Whose voice is that?” he asked.
Cullen explained it was Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
“Those F-bombs are coming from the governor?” Mueller asked.

Guess we know why they hurried up and brought the charges against Blank-O before everything else was in place. Can’t say I blame them.
Rezko is just the mule. He started working for the Moslum Brotherhood way back when he helped convert Cassius Clay. He has always been the mule...fixing the gig with someone elses money. To read the whole story read through the first hundred posts or so here:

Just think what the FBI has with their wire taps and sniched...all these post were just collected by a few freepers.
I used to listen to WLS in the afternoons on the internet (just because - I don't live anywhere near Chicago). I was listening to the Roe Conn Show a few years ago and they were laughing about something sleazy Blago or Daley had done and it just struck me as a very odd reaction to have towards blatant in-your-face corruption. Apparently, Chicago has been that way for a very long time, but I don't understand why any sane person would choose to live under that sort of system.
