Malarkey. Do the Google Scholar search I recommended and see the real science. Your constant posting of anectodal data means precisely nothing. Corexit has been tested by many organizations besides the EPA, including several universities, even my alma mater of LSU.

And I'll ask my question again. Why are you here on a conservative site quoting socialists as authorities??

"The Raw Story is a liberal alternative to the Drudge report..."

"USHITMAN".....The Hollow Earth. Yeah, rrriiiigggghhhhttt. Authoritative sources.

Let me point out to you the simple fact that all of the toxicological data was developed by the EPA, OSHA, and NIOSH many years before this spill. So that can hardly be tainted by your "all gov't agencies are lying about the spill" cynicism.

And I might admit that the ADMINISTRATORS of the EPA might follow Obama's orders, but the day-to-day workers simply are too many for that to happen. And if you knew anything at all about the kinds of record-keeping necessary to generate the measurement data, you wouldn't be worrying about THAT, either.

I do NOT look for information from NOAA, EPA or anyone associated with and controlled by the Marxist Islamic Kenyan usurper and his gang of thugs. Obviously, you are have some love affair with them, I don’t. The EPA is a freaking joke... A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bookmark this, and if we still have internet and FR still exists, I’ll come back to this thread and tell you “I told you so dummy”.

So, how much Nalco stock do you own? What eating the fiberglass hulls? I have personally seen 3 boats with the hulls all pitted. I’ve never seen anything like it and I live on the water and have owned boats all my life.
You can b8tch all you want about the sources. Facts are facts and you aren’t going to see the bad facts on the EPA or NOAA website. Haul your as* down to LA and see for your self. Better yet, head on our there and do some deep water diving, around 100-120’. Let me know what you think.

Wunstell, a shrimper, said he was paid by BP to use his boat, Ramie’s Wish, to clean up oil that has been gushing into the Gulf since an oil rig sank about 40 miles off the Louisiana coast, gushing an estimated 19,000 barrels (798, 000 gallons) of crude a day.
In an affidavit, Wunstell wrote he started experiencing severe headaches and nasal irritation on May 24. Over the next few days, he also developed nosebleeds, an upset stomach, and aches.
On Friday, Wunstell was airlifted to West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, Louisiana, where he remained hospitalized Sunday.
Eight other workers were brought to the hospital this week and were all released.
“We need to start protecting these guys,” said Jim Klick, Wunstell’s lawyer.
In his affidavit, Wunstell described his experience at the hospital.
“At West Jefferson, there were tents set up outside the hospital, where I was stripped of my clothing, washed with water and several showers, before I was allowed into the hospital,” Wunstell said. “When I asked for my clothing, I was told that BP had confiscated all of my clothing and it would not be returned.”

If I have a love affair, it is with science. Because I have the necessary background in chemistry to differentiate fact from bullshit, I go where the legitimate facts can be found. If you'd get your head out of your ass and actually take the time to look at the evidence, you might change your mind. The EPA "Deepwater Horizon" website has links to a LOT of peer-reviewed studies on all aspects of the environmental ramifications of the spill. ALL of those studies that I have looked at pre-date the spill, so unless those scientists who collected the data were both dishonest AND clairvoyant, "faking it" is impossible.

And because I am VERY knowledgable about air monitoring and monitoring instrumentation, I also do not believe that it is possible to fake the level of detail found in the EPA and NOAA data.

"So, how much Nalco stock do you own?"

Not a dimes worth.

"What eating the fiberglass hulls?"

As I said before, I'd put my money on the oil. I'll know more Monday, as I'll be back in my office and have access to my materials and chemical resistance data.

"I have personally seen 3 boats with the hulls all pitted. I’ve never seen anything like it and I live on the water and have owned boats all my life."

And how many times before have you seen boats exposed to this amount of oil???? I'd guess "never".

"Haul your as* down to LA and see for your self."

Actually, I will be down in Louisiana at the end of the month. If I'll get the time, I'll speak to some KNOWLEDGABLE researchers at LSU.

"Wunstell, a shrimper, said he was paid by BP to use his boat, Ramie’s Wish, to clean up oil...."

Blah, blah, blah. More anecdotal data. Stop wasting my time with this crap.

As I suspected, epoxies are not greatly resistant to crude oil. The tables I looked at give resistance with an upper temperature of 80-100F, even for "chemically resistant epoxy", which is NOT all that much margin for safety. Checking for some of the individual components of crude oil (like benzene) show an "unacceptable" rating. I would suspect that older boat hulls would be more vulnerable.
