The border runs along a river that meanders and it is at the same time to the south and west and northwest of City Hall El Paso. The area of the gun battle was Southwest and was evidently a moving one...

El Paso is very similar to Juarez. The nice areas are very nice (very few) and the crappy areas are real crap.

The southern boundary of University of Texas El Paso (UTEP} is approximately 1/2 mile from the border. The campus has been shot at numerous times from Juarez.
