The people of Arizona are no longer conservative because we’ve been targeted by Soros for two decades.

Anchor babies are voting and who knows how many Motor Voter illegal aliens are voting.

We had a conservative Governor and the Feds put him on trial and stole his office. We been run by female unelected governors except for when we elected Big Sis - twice!

Ever since Arizona started having primaries, we’ve been under attack from the elite DC politicians.

And now, Sarah Palin and the National Review are spitting on our poor abused state.

Nearly every thread posted on FR has been a McCain bashing thread while none or very few have touted the virtues of voting FOR Hayworth.

Most people on FR know about McCain and McCain/Feingold, Kennedy/McCain, McCain/Lieberman, the Gang of 14, his opposition to the Bush tax cuts, etc., etc., etc. He has few supporters here, and people also know that JD was a solid conservative for twelve years in the House, and one of the strongest opponents of amnesty and non-enforcement of immigration in all of Congress.

Most people here know both of them, and their records. It's the voters of Arizona that wil Why be FOR Hayworth? Because he has a record opposite Juan McCain on most all the major issues of today.

“Anchor babies are voting and who knows how many Motor Voter illegal aliens are voting.”

First of all, the Republican party in AZ allows open primaries. Don’t like it, take it up with them.

Second of all, AZ has some of the strictest voter registration laws in the Country.

you don’t think JD Hayworth’s loud mouth know it all attitude won’t come out during a debate and turn people off?

The Abramoff ads, the infomercial ads, to name two off the top of my pointy head. Unanswered quickly they will sink into the voters’ minds (I say it’s too late, they already have). I saw the exact same thing happen when Matt Salmon ran for Governor against Napalitano. He was accused of being pro-polygamy because he’s Mormon, and he figured he was “too good” to deny it.

Now, we have the worst DHS Secretary imaginable. And I have the unshakable belief the election was thrown. Leaving dirty accusations out there like that is unforgivable, and JD’s doing it now.

Sort of open, sort of not. If you're a registered Dem or Rep, you can't vote in the other party's primary. If you're independent, you can vote in either, but not both. IOW, if you want to vote in the GOP primary for Senator, you can't vote in the Dem primary for Governor.

As for taking it up with the Republican party, it was taken up with them a couple months ago, and it was voted down. It's not called "The Stupid Party" for nothing.

I think there is something very unusual about this McCain/Hayworth race. Unless very close to a candidate, or practically a political operative, few people ever try to keep up with a senate race for more than a few weeks before the voting day. I’ve been keeping up with this since late 2009, and I don’t even live in Arizona. Already about eight months and two more to go.

We’re just now arriving at the point where most voters will really start paying attention, with the vote still almost two months away. People here at FR probably feel like this race has been going all year, but the two debates aren’t until July 16 and 17. And JD’s TV ads will really start the first half of July.

There’s plenty of time for a lot to happen, unless Arizona voters are actually agree with all Juan’s positions I’m sure will be pointed out constantly starting pretty soon.

That Abramoff and infomercial stuff can be put to rest, and McCain has many skeletons also. He just started so early because he has so much cash on hand.

You do know there are a lot of registered independents in AZ.

And why would a registered independent vote in a Dem primary if there is only one Dem candidate running for any given biggy state office?

Doesn't Symington count? I had quite an argument with Keven Wiley at AZ Republic about that once...she, too, claimed he wasn't Governor.

I am tired of people who call themselves conservative running us down, though....

what diff does the sex of the candidate make?

and prior Gov Napolitano won because a lot of Republicans voted for her.

Too bad, that’s how democracy works.

It's special because McCain is still fresh from having lost the Presidential race. That's why it gets so much national attention, nothing more to it than that. People around here in AZ do seem to go soft in the head because McCain was a "war hero." Doesn't matter to them he cut loose MIAs still languishing in Viet Nam, 'cause, dang it, he's a Hero!

That observation is spot on. And, it has pretty much always been that way in AZ. I don't recall a hotly contested Dem Primary race in AZ.

Symington was going to be good for Arizona. I mentioned Symington when I said:

I’ve had good Republicans tell me to my face they would never vote for Matt Salmon because he believed in polygamy. This assertion came from a third party candidate’s TV ad, and went unanswered by Salmon. It was when I was volunteering the booth at the State Fair.

Dirty tricks is, as you say, how politics works. I don’t care what sex the candidate is, I never said that I did. That was someone else.
