It would be nice if we were able to stop the Kagan confirmation, but the numbers aren’t there.

Most likely she will coast to the justice position.

Oh yeah, she’s in. Our only hope is that she’s no worse than what’s she’s replacing. And that’s a mighty low bar.

I don’t understand what all the fuss is about;
the Republicans don’t have the votes to stop it, anyway

She is going to get in, one way or another. Just hope the other conservatives stay heathly!

Correction, just hope the “conservatives” stay healthy!

The man put up a travesty of a nominee. If nothing else, a bright light should be shown on the woman so the public can see the consequences of voting for a socialist.

I can disrail her nomination with one question:

“Professor Kagan, do you think that a single-payer system is Constitutional...if applied to the legal profession?”

Probably not; but let's not give up with just a whimper. We need to make sure the feckless little bee-itches in Congress know that they've further incurred the wrath of motivated voters for this Fall, and that there will be a price to pay for letting this piece of s**t onto the Supreme Court.

Oh, the numbers are there:

.22, .30-06, .38, .40, .410ga, .44, .45, .50, 5.56, 5.7, 9, 10, 10ga, 12ga, 20ga

The problem is that the American people seem to be too squeamish to use those numbers.
This may change as more people realize that we have three branches of tyranny instead of any government.
However, it is disturbing that the people appear to be so “Stockholm Syndrome”-ed that they view the recent 4/5 second amendment case as a victory; it is, at best, a “put it off `till later” ploy... at worst, it sets up the field for further restrictions on firearms because it does not address “common sense gun laws” as infringements.

True. But since there's the increasingly likely possibility that a bunch of Barry's ccoreligionists will vaporize the whole rotten city, and that probability increases with each passing day, and the event will take Kagan and the rest of Hell's First String with it, it's not all bad.

The average American doesn’t care one iota about the Supreme Court, and probably doesn’t even understand what it does. Unless Republicans can extract something like “Long Dong Silver” from a witness, this hearing will never, ever, reach main street. Kagan is in, unless something earth shattering is discovered, which is highly unlikely considering she hasn’t done a damn thing in the area of jurisprudence in her career.

Likely true. As terrible as a selection as Kagan is, the good news is she is replacing a terrible Justice’s seat. The net loss is not great.

The net loss is time. An old leftist justice is replaced by a young leftist justice. Each time that happens the likelihood of a near term positive shift in balance become less. We don’t want to have all the old guys on the Court. Fortunately Roberts and Alito are quite young.

Agreed. I almost posted that age is the only gain here, and that pretty nutty leftist is being replaced by a total nut, but the voting records will not likely be much different.
