Then it should be "doo 2 wethr"

Many years ago I worked as a typesetter for a small-town newspaper. I got an ad to typeset, once, for a produce dealer. In the handwritten copy he listed, among his wares, both "cauliflower" and "brokley." I pointed his hilarious error out to the proofreader and asked her why, in her opinion, he could spell cauliflower, but not broccoli. "Oh that's easy," she said. "He had to look up cauliflower. He figured he knew broccoli."

Dude, it probably does not get said very often, but thank God and all his disciples for Thad Allen. Truly the Gulf’s savior.

When you stand on the memorial over the ship you can see the rainbow colored oil spots. It’s kind of like the ship is still bleeding from an open wound. The memorial is very solemn. I went six times while in Hawaii and noone was ever disrespectful.

The oil AND the chemical dispersant. That’s worse.

Hate to break the bad news to the euro wieners who wrote this blip of news, but there is no operation to stop the leak, just an operation to collect the leaking oil.

Stopping the leak is beyond our technical abilities

Is this news story still accurate? I am reading elsewhere the storm should miss the area, and BP will pullout IF a storm is predicted to hit within 5 days.

NOAA projection chart has the storm heading into Mexico.

Get used to these shut-downs. Not only for named storms but for any threat of a storm that may cross the location. The risk of not demobilizing and securing for a possible storm is unacceptable. I have seen entire hurricane seasons with very little drilling progress to show for all the effort and money spent.

Some seasons, no sooner does the threat pass and they begin to reconnect that another threat stops and reverses the whole operation.

Looks like the figure their T-time or time to demobilize is about 72 hours, about normal for this water depth.

Notice that the projected track is to make landfall somewhere near Tampico, far from the location, but the threat is still there and demob is required. Way, way too many vessels in close proximity adds to the urgency to demob and secure the rigs.

Thus my appeal to establish a pipeline connection.
