Here is the BP connection to Secretary Chu in 2007, by way of Berkely and a 500 million dollar grant:

Until proven otherwise. I believe the oil leak was deliberate and Obama is not a natural born citizen

Are there any “environmental purists” left?

This was posted in the comments on David Vitter's facebook page. It sounds like a suicide.

Hey David My brother-in-law Davd Walter of Walter Marine in Gulf Shores al was recentl on MSNBC. His artifical reef business is ruined as a result of BP.

Wel, David called and asked for prayer for the family of his friend Ricky a charter boat fisherman for 25 years in a family business that has been fishing the gulf coast of Ala for 40 years. That is until the BP spill.

He started to help with the clean-up, he has 3 children and a wife to feed. After weeks of being dismissed and depressed that his family business was destroyed he walked into the BP office expecting the promise of a paycheck.

After being given another excusethis morning he simply couldn't take it. He returned to the wheel-house of his boat and shot himself in the head.

This just happened , I don't even know if his family has been contacted. Once it is announced I will post a call for prayer for the family. In prayer,

Donna

The weirdest thing is that my ultra-lib UFT teacher sister-in-law thinks that the oil spill was a terrorist act and don’t try to convince her otherwise. No, seriously, don’t. You’ll get an earful for an hour.

I wonder. There are of course conservationists who can certainly be rational individuals that value the Constitution and out nation’s traditions. Then there are the environment Marxists such as Van Jones that use environmentalism as a cloak for their Marxist agenda.
Then, I believe that there are those that believe in environmental causes for their own sake. They want to save the whales, trees, various worm habitats. They just love nature without thinking of the political ramifications. They are not steeped in Alinsky and Marx but they function as useful idiots for the Left. These people could be neutralized to support a Green candidate or flipped to oppose zero.

I believe in conservation. But I don’t believe in saving a worm habitat over a working farm. I think that’s the view of average people.

This part of the despair is just starting. Hopefully, those who are feeling desperate have a support system so that they don’t just give up.

It must be awful. These people have lost their coastline, their jobs, and now any hope for timely compensation. Meanwhile, reminders of the oil spill are everywhere- on the plants, the animals, and the overwhelming smell. On top of that, the drilling ban forces so many in the same area into desperation, so that the folks can’t even help each other.
