And THAT is what I personally feel the Rolling Stone article is all about. The piece looked a lot more like a hit on McChrystal than on Obama. But it made it clear that the COIN was all on McChrystal and O merely "bought in" or was pressured into accepting it. As Afghanistan goes poorly, the blame for it will be shifted from O as CINC to McChrystal...the "author, owner, and seller" of the strategy.

IMHO, this article is meant to insulate O rather than implicate him.
